Horrible.

I am paying a premium for what is advertised as a high end hotel, and they can’t even provide the air conditioning they put in their amenities. It is 75 degrees F / 24.5 degrees C in my room and I have been trying to cool it down all day. When I’ve complained all I am told is it’s still winter and they have central air so *shrug*. When I pushed, they sent someone who said they had adjusted it to pull in outside air. Outside it has now dropped to 61 degrees F, and inside my room it got HOTTER. When I called again, I am told again it is central air and it’s still winter so what can they do? Even in winter a 75 degree F room would be TOO HOT AND UNCOMFORTABLE. Justifiable anger at the complete inability to provide a comfortable temperature for the price I’m paying is met with self righteous indignation that they are trying to help. Really? Where? Where is this help? Because repeatedly telling me that you have central air and it’s still winter in spite of being in the mid 70s during the day, and being completely unable to bring the temperature of my room below a level that would be uncomfortable EVEN IN WINTER doesn’t really meet my definition of “help”. They even invoked the last resort fallback distraction not to use bad words even though I specifically use the entirely made up word “frak” so that people representing places like this have no excuse to deflect from their failure by clutching their pearls and having vapors because their tender ears and delicate sensibilities were violated by a WORD. This hotel robbed me and I am left in this stifling room. Their only fix is to bring two tiny electric fans that barely produce any air and even then only push the hot air in my room around. Their only other suggestion is to open the sliding door to all the traffic noise and letting in a cadre of malarial flying bugs off the river. Hardly a “fix”. I could get to sleep until after 2 am because I was so warm and uncomfortable even after stopping down to the skin. I woke up at 4 with sheets soaking from my sweating and the room WARMER STILL. I finally had to resort to opening the balcony door to not be roasted. Then I could barely sleep because of the noise and I have bug bites. So I was able to get maybe 3 hours of sleep and all they can do is shrug and say “that’s the best we can do because it’s still winter, sorry.” This “hotel” should not have such an obviously false high rating. They don’t provide what they advertise and the cost is extortion for comfort that is worse than a hostel.

Beautiful hotel

The rooms are very nice and clean. Your staff member, Mr. Caner at reception, is friendly and professional, very good at his job. He understood our needs and made suggestions even before we asked. I wish him success, our next stay will definitely be here.
