Izmir for two days. Hotel
It was the first trip to Izmir.
In general, we prefer to visit non-mass tourist places.
Therefore, the hotel was chosen for reasons of comfort.
The Sheraton hotel chain is known for its high level of service.
We've booked a Standard room for two nights, with the option of extra room for the baby.
Arriving at the hotel around 7 a.m. we did not have to wait for the time of standard check-in. We were posted 10 minutes after we checked in. Which was really good after the night flight.
The room was located on the 9th floor overlooking... the construction. But this fact we took into account when booking, and it was not unexpected. Despite the fairly close proximity of the construction site, it was noisy. But I couldn't sit on the balcony because it's dusty. Separately, we should mark the balcony. It is designed in Turkish style, rather a loggia, on which a lounger, a sofa table and a pair of armchairs are quietly placed. I think with the construction finished, the balcony space will be in demand.
As for the room itself.
Modern finish, all materials of high quality. Thoughtful lighting zoning and control, allows each guest to stay out of each other's way.
Despite the fact that the room is standard sizes, it was possible without problems to accommodate an extra bed (you can't call it a cot), two suitcases and the rest of the backpack bags.
Separately, bedding is worth noting. Moderately, a hard mattress is suitable for people with a problematic back or those who like to sleep on a hard one. High quality sheets and pillowcases go hand in hand with a healthy and good sleep.
The standard shower set is also of high quality.
Our reservation included breakfast.
The restaurant is small, but there is quite a large veranda. Also, the whole setting is in a modern style.
The cuisine is traditional Turkish with a continental slant. Breakfast was varied. Chef is a master of his trade.
Coffee lovers will be pleased with the filter coffee, which is especially nice in the morning.
Staff.
It's a pleasure that the hotel management is hiring professionals of such a high standard. As alert and polite as possible, unobtrusive. All issues raised were dealt with expeditiously, without the need for repeated reminders. Correct even when the guest misunderstood something. The level of proficiency in English removes the language barrier. In Russian, the staff doesn't speak .
Additions. It will not be possible to exchange currency at the hotel. In walking distance is located mail (Ptt), but the course may not be profitable. Don't forget your passport.
There is a taxi parking lot nearby. Very comfortable.
Speaking of transportation accessibility.
A 10-minute walk from the metro Stadium, a blue branch line that provides access to the historic city centre - Konak.
Also within walking distance are bus stops. And a commuter train station.
But in order to use public transport you need Izmrim kart, which can only be purchased at metro junctions.
ESHOT buses do not accept cash. Therefore, finding the point of sale of the card is a separate quest.
Overall, the hotel liked it. When I go to Izmir again, I'll choose her.

Definitely not a sea view
We reserved a sea view room for the last night of our holiday in Turkey the view was definitely not of the sea . It was the view of a large construction site , the port area and sea in the very distance

Overall great hotel with some great dining spots in the area.
We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. Depending on the purpose of your stay, the location is very conveniently located to reach relevant facilities in the area. To reach touristic areas, you'll have to take a 5-10 minute taxi ride.
What really made the difference, though, was the amazing team. A huge thank you to Samet, Furkan, Tuğba, İlyas, Onur, Bengisu, and Sercan for their outstanding hospitality. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional throughout our stay.
A very special thank you goes to İlyas. He was an incredible support from start to finish and fulfilled every single request immediately, always with a smile and without hesitation. His dedication and genuine care for the guests truly stood out and made our stay even more enjoyable. He's a prime example for Turkish hospitality.
Thanks again to the entire team for making us feel so welcome. We would be happy to come back anytime.
One thing to be improved: the hotel's gym is really not a gym. Perhaps you could collaborate with the fitness center next door to provide access during the stay. I'd have been happy to pay an extra fee but the price of the day pass of that fitness center was ridiculously high.

High quality and comfortable.
This is a hotel I loved staying at when I came to Izmir for business, I recommend it to everyone, we are very satisfied.
We would also like to thank our colleague Eren, who works in the breakfast section, for his friendly demeanor and hard work. A smile is actually the most welcome we expect.
I wish the other waiters were like Eren; I won't say all of them, but please keep an eye on some of your staff.
No "good morning," zero approach or eye contact; I think they're afraid we'll ask for something and they'll have to go through all this trouble.
This is where staff selection or training comes into play.
Hopefully, a little criticism will help them improve.
Apart from that, everything is great.

A REGULAR SHERATON HOTEL
First of all, greetings. Although Sheraton has become a world-renowned name, we experienced at Four Points by Sheraton Izmir that not all of its hotels are of the same standard. Let's start with the room. The room is adequate in terms of bed and square footage, but insufficient in other respects. There's no smart TV, etc., so don't expect that. The rooms advertised as having a sea view have such a view that you can see the sea at least 3-4 km away from between the buildings. Don't pay extra for a sea view room. As for the bed and breakfast concept, breakfast is the same every two days and is incredibly inadequate. Simple things like salami, olives, cheese, bread, etc. There is not the slightest difference reflecting Sheraton quality. Orange juice is from a vending machine, other fruit juices are from a vending machine, meaning you can't find any freshly squeezed fruit juice at breakfast... It was a bad experience, below our expectations. We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days, and it gave the impression of being just a simple city hotel. I don't think I'll choose it again. The staff were friendly, and I'd like to thank them separately :)
