Alexander Anemon Hotel

I would say it’s the only place to stay in Alexandria.We stayed 4 nights on Ramadan and were very pleased. The cleanliness of the rooms, the comfort of the beds and the cleanliness of the beds were very good.The reception was very caring and polite.The location of the hotel is also away from the bustle of the city but 10 minutes and the view is very nice and spacious.The restaurant is very clean and the service staff was very friendly and kind.The breakfast was small but quality.We will come again at the Festival of Victims and we will stay here.Thank you so much for your attention and concern.

Anemone at its worst.

There was absolutely nothing left of the old anemone, it was terrible. The rooms were awful, the water wasn't hot, mud was flowing from the taps. I have photos and videos. Even though I was the bride, my father's room was very dirty.

The drain smells bad.

I've never encountered such a foul odor in my life. The bathroom ventilation isn't working. Everything is covered in dust, unfortunately. The smell of cigarette smoke has permeated not just the room, but the entire floor. Other features are good value for money, but it fails miserably in terms of hygiene and cleanliness. I don't think I'll stay here again.

I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

It’s a terrible hotel. After the earthquake, there was a shortage of hotels in the area, and they are taking advantage of the situation. They only provided 0.5 liters of drinking water for two people in the room. When we asked for more, they said it was chargeable. The room key card frequently stops working, and the safe in the room doesn’t function. There’s no toothpaste or toothbrush, and they sell them for 170 TL. The breakfast selection is poor, and the menemen tasted awful. The SPA is out of service, and the gym is very small. In short, don’t believe for a second that this is a five-star hotel.

On 10/3/2025, at 3:33 p.m., we made a 3-day reservation for two at the Anemon Aleksenderun Hotel. Although the hotel was promoted as 5 star, the service we encountered was definitely not up to these standards. Only 1 liter of water was left in our room, and when we found this to be incorrect, we spoke to the hotel’s assistant manager, Miss Mystery. He said it was the hotel’s decision and we could use the paid minibar if we wanted to. Just 0.5 liters of water per day for two is unacceptable in a 5-star hotel.
Plus, there are no 5-Ace SPA facilities and similar facilities available at the hotel. We referred these shortcomings and insufficient service to hotel management, but we could not get a positive feedback. We paid all in advance.
This approach is seriously compromising customer satisfaction and damaging the Republic of Turkey tourism industry. I ask for compensation for the victim we suffered.
