A lovely peaceful place to land in Uganda
After our first impressions of Uganda it was wonderful coming home to 2 Friends Guesthouse. This small boutique hotel is a real haven of peace, while still being an ideal base near the Nile.
On arrival we were received particularly friendly. You can feel the hospitality immediately: the staff is warm, helpful and makes you feel immediately welcome. Our room was spacious, comfortable and neatly cared for.
The hotel feels like a hidden paradise. Around the pool you can relax and escape the crowds. The cozy garden, the atmospheric lighting and the covered terrace create a nice, relaxing atmosphere.
The restaurant is also a must. We dined overlooking the charming illuminated garden and enjoyed the freshly prepared dishes. The coconut curry, herbal chicken with rice and even the pasta carbonara were clearly appreciated. You can taste that the dishes are prepared with care and love.
Breakfast was an absolute hit. An extensive buffet is available with fresh bread rolls, delicious pancakes, yogurt, granola, eggs with bacon, fresh fruit, different types of bread and tasty freshly squeezed juices. There is so much to choose from that you are guaranteed to start your day with a well-filled stomach.
What sticks with us most is the combination of peace, conviviality and personal service. After a day full of impressions in Uganda, this was the perfect place to relax and enjoy.
Highly recommended for those looking for a comfortable, atmospheric and welcoming stay near the Nile.

Very great food, nature and activities!
I had a fantastic stay! The customer care was exceptional, but what truly stood out was the work culture. The employees seemed genuinely happy and comfortable, creating such a positive atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond, and the healthy work environment was evident. It was inspiring to see staff even writing songs about the place out of love! I met the humble, hospitable, and punctual owner. The night pool swims were wonderful, the beds were comfy, and the community-made soap was a nice touch.
The boat ride on the River Nile was exhilarating, taking me to the source and onto Lake Victoria. I saw many bird species, snakes, and the fishing activities on the lake. There are also many other activities like kayaking, ziplining, tubing, and rafting.
I highly recommend for couples, family and solo trips in Jinja. Its very few minutes from the River Nile.

Wonderful place
Wonderful place to stay in Jinja. Very friendly staff, great breakfast. For dinner you can order from the restaurant next door, also excellent. Nice rooms, good airconditioning, good shower and nice beds.
I can also highly recommend booking a massage from Jackie. Very friendly and professional.
We had a great stay here and will definitely come back when visiting Uganda again.
Main street is at a walkable distance and lots to do in Jinja.

A Hidden Gem: Amazing Stay at 2 Friends Guest House!
Our seven-night stay at the 2 Friends Guest House was absolutely fantastic. This small hotel offers a wonderfully personal feel, making for a much more intimate and enjoyable experience than larger hotels.
We were pleasantly surprised by the very nice, modern gym, which was a great bonus. The pool area is very comfortable, with plenty of lounge chairs for relaxation, and the grounds are meticulously manicured, adding to the serene atmosphere. Included breakfast had plentiful options and was delicious, setting us up nicely for each day.
The staff was consistently great and always eager to be helpful, making our stay incredibly smooth and pleasant. A fantastic perk, especially for longer stays, is their complementary laundry service – a thoughtful touch that was greatly appreciated.
The guest house is also centrally located, making it convenient for exploring. An extra bonus is the attached restaurant that has a broad menu and plenty of seating, which was perfect for convenient meals.
