Family trip to Uganda
We had the most amazing stay here. The chalets are lovely, bright and clean with comfortable beds. Food is amazing - the packed lunches really hit the spot after a day of Gorilla trekking. The staff are wonderful- friendly, professional, go above and beyond. Nothing is too much trouble. We went gorilla trekking for two days - really well organised but the hiking can be tough. Views over the lake are breathtaking - perfect to take in with a cold beer. Would highly recommend!

Simply the best!
Chameleon Hill Lodge exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff were superb … friendly, considerate, attentive and genuinely beautiful people who danced and celebrated with us, and we genuinely enjoyed their company and getting to know them. Nothing was too much trouble and their service was exceptional. All the little extras, like cleaning our boots after our gorilla trek and after our dusty walk into the local village, continually left us in awe.
The food was outstanding! We were treated to restaurant quality food and table service that was tailored to our dietary needs and preferences. We certainly left heavier than when we arrived! The bar service was also brilliant, and even included room delivery for afternoon drinks in our room while we relaxed and soaked in the view.
The lodge itself is a delight for the senses. The quirky and colourful design of the buildings and the room decor were stunning and the views from the rooms and the dining deck looking out over Lake Mutanda are breathtaking. The gift shop had some beautiful and affordable souvenirs too.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Pure magic and exceptional hospitality at Chameleon Hill
Chameleon Hill Forest Lodge was a magical oasis! As a first-time, solo traveler to Uganda, finding a place that felt like home was everything, and this lodge surpassed every expectation. Perched beautifully high above Lake Mutanda, it offers an incredible view of the misty, majestic Virunga volcano mountains rising about rhe calm and smooth water. I loved my vibrant, colorful room and noticed that each chalet is thoughtfully situated to face the lake.
The true heartbeat of the lodge is it's exceptional staff. Charles, the manager, ensured every guest was deeply cared for each day, while Spensa shared a wealth of knowledge about the surrounding area and wildlife. Wesley and Medard were always ready with a cup of tea, and Phiona was an absolute gem with her beautiful smile and fantastic birding expertise. My deepest gratitude goes to Rogers, my driver - guide. He was with me from beginning to end, and went entirely above and beyond to ensure my journey blissful, safe and entirely personalized. His logistical expertise across multiple locations, combined with his sweet spirit, truly made me appreciate Uganda even more.
Chameleon Hill is the perfect base for exploring this part of Uganda. I easily embarked on life-changing adventures: gorilla tracking in Bwindi, golden monkey tracking in Mgahinga, a peaceful boat ride on Lake Mutanda and a fascinating coffee farm tour in Kisoro. My only regret is not having more time to stay in this paradise.

Magic place!!!
We, a family of 5, stayed 2 nights in Chamaelon Hill and the first thing we all thought - why do we have to leave???
It is a wonderful and magical place, the views are so beautiful and open our minds - it is the perfect place to stay, relax, enjoy and to start super interesting adventures. We i.e. went for Gorilla Tracking quite early, and the staff was waiting for us with the breakfast and lunch packets. Everything was perfectly organised and everybody is very nice. The service is very good, the management always keen on helping and supporting in any issues that may arise, the food was also very good. So, in total, we really loved this place, felt very comfortable, and would love to come back soon.

Chameleon Hill Forest Lodge… a paradise
I recently returned from a transformative journey through Uganda, where the Chameleon Hill Forest Lodge served as my ethereal sanctuary. Perched nearly 2,000 meters above the shimmering expanse of Lake Mutanda, the lodge is a vibrant masterpiece nestled within a lush, emerald embrace. Every corner—from the soul-stirring terrace to the kaleidoscopic, elegantly appointed chalets—radiates a warmth that is both meticulous and deeply inviting. Awakening there each morning felt like a dream; the air was crisp, and the hospitality was even more refreshing. I was enveloped in the genuine kindness of a staff whose smiles seemed to mirror the Ugandan sun. The culinary offerings were a true celebration of flavor, further cementing my belief that this is one of the most breathtaking vistas I have ever encountered. My deepest gratitude goes to Laban, my dedicated driver and guardian, whose wisdom and companionship illuminated the wonders of this magnificent country.
