Luxurious lodge with amazing staff

We decided to go on a gorilla trekking at Bwindi for our 10th wedding anniversary and because of the anniversary we allowed ourselves to an extra treat being Kiho lodge. And we loved the experience. Our cabin was beautiful, the jacuzzi super relaxing, food great and the staff were amazing. They were so friendly and made us feel special. Just an example: Belgian music during our anniversary dinner, cleaning our hiking boots after the trekking, giving us snacks for during the trekking and the list continues. Amazing experience!

A very exciting project set down in the middle of the wilderness.

I did not stay at this lodge but was invited by a mutual friend of Lucia to take a tour when in the area.
This is a very luxurious property that will certainly appeal to the up market sector whomay wish to rest upand holiday before and after a highly recommended visit to the local habituated Gorilla families in the Ruhija area.
The entrance is imposingand whilst one must first negotiate a tortuous public track in poor condition the final approach has been tarred and paved to provide good parking space for cars.
Inside is a friendly Reception area that leads to a spacious communal area for Restaurant and leisure persuits incuding a sitting out area for evenings around a nice warm open fire n which to can discuss with fellow guests your Safari experinces.
There is also a large pool for swimming and lazing with changeing cabins alongside.
Sleeping and privacy are provided by several very comfortable and secluded cabins of varying size and capacity. There are balconies but due to the site and vegetation they lack what could be good views over the surrounding hills.
We did not take any food but the menu indicated a competent and innovative Chef. I believe there is also a nearby private helicopter capable landing area for those with deep pockets and little time. I was not clear at the time of my visit whether or not the whole site was securely fenced.
In all a very exciting project set down in the middle of the wilderness.

Fine lodge to see beautiful things in Bwindi

Beautiful suites, friendly staff and great food. We enjoyed ourselves here. Lovely shower or even jacuzzi when you come back from the gorillas. Nice place to do a gorilla tracking and / or a beautiful walk through bwindi with bird guide. Amos (not from the lodge) has guided us fantastically! There are lots of beautiful birds to spot.

The Perfect Blend of Relaxation and Adventure

Our stay at Kiho Gorilla Safari Lodge was truly unforgettable. The location is beautiful and peaceful surrounded by nature with breathtaking forest views that create the perfect atmosphere for relaxation and adventure near Bwindi. It was an ideal getaway after our wedding and made our honeymoon extra special.
From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel warmly welcomed and that welcome drink was a banger! The room was cozy, clean, comfortable and beautifully prepared making us feel at home throughout our stay. We especially loved the delicious food, peaceful fireplace evenings and the overall nature experience. The staff were exceptionally welcoming, attentive and the amenities added a special touch to our experience.
The lodge offers great value for money considering the exceptional hospitality, comfort and amenities provided. Cleanliness was outstanding in both the rooms and common areas. The environment was extremely quiet and peaceful with no noise at all making it perfect for rest and relaxation after gorilla trekking.
We highly recommend this lodge for couples, honeymooners and anyone looking for a peaceful yet adventurous escape.

The Best!

It was such a great experience we have no words to express our thanks. We arrived very late on a rainy night and all the staff was waiting for us. From the posrters to the chefs. Our dining table was decorated with our national flag so was the entrance of the lodge ( and it´s a difficult flag to find. Thank you!). Hot water bottles in our beds, fire set in our bedrooms while we were dining, breakfast boxes with extra mangoes ( my favourite) for an early rainy trip to catch a flight ( and , again, all the cew was awake). really? Superb!
