Extremely pleasant staff made the stay perfect

I am giving 4 from 5 points... I will not complain that rooms weren't looking great, shower-with-cold-water-only-and-toilet-in-one wasn't pleasant experience as well. I will not. For the price it cost it was more than perfect!!
And why? The staff was excellent. They were so extremely kind, smiling, helpful like no one. I felt almost like home there. Having breakfast at the top of the hill above Rukungiri, having very nice African tea (at least one liter :) ) was pleasant and with the staff it was beyond compare with services I get in Slovakia.
Thank you Rukungiri Inn! Keep the attitude and outstanding personnel.
PS: the wi-fi was a little bit cranky, but it was there!

One week stay

It was an okay place for Africa. The staff were very friendly and helpful. But the internet was not usable and we never had hot water. Consistent power is a problem and they did have a back up generator but no consistency for when it was used. Most places will supply power one way or the other during certain hours but not here.

I wish I could rate the staff separately from the Inn

I'm writing from the western mindset. With that said, the Inn is average at best. The rooms are clean but amenties are nonexistent. They will give you more than one towel but you have to ask. I've been told it's the second nicest hotel in town.
Aaren, Lois, Agnes, George and Faith were more than accommodating. Anything we asked for, we got. Once morning we were late coming to breakfast and they knocked on the door to insure we were ok. Food and drinks in the restaurant were fresh and tasty; however, allow an hour to get your food.

Extremely slow but ok

So just back from Rukungiri Inn, it's ok, good value,
Bed is comfy, ask to see all rooms available as some are not nice some are better, noisy outside. breakfast is nice (fresh fruit and omelette) it's included in room price, food prices are reasonable but the wait time is unbelievable, I waited 2 hours for chips and chapati while my friend waited2 hours 29 for fish, staff sadly don't really care that much.
In conclusion I probably would stay again.

Beautiful views in very basic hotel

Hotel is perched on a little hill over Rukungiri town. It is an old house turned into a hotel. The rooms are very basic but with shower and hot water!!! It is very noisy in the corridor, with conversations, TVs sound and everything else booming into all the bedrooms. The breakfast is fine - fruit or omelette. The views in the morning are stunning.
