Superb

My Partner and I stayed at Smithy Studio whilst we were judging a BBQ Competition in the local area.
Helen was very welcoming, friendly and cooks a mean breakfast!
The studio itself is beautifully furnished with lots of warmth and eclectic pieces of art dotted around.
I am so glad that we took a chance on Smithy Studio as opposed to the usual Travelodge etc. for this was soooo much better.

Wonderful

Stayed overnight for my surprise 60th birthday party! Lovely accommodation, very comfortable bed,tea,coffee and biscuits and a lovely cosy atmosphere.Helens artwork is amazing and she’s a delight to talk to.Also,an amazing breakfast! Helen and her gorgeous dog were wonderful hosts. Will definitely be returning .

Christmassy Break

We visited Ashby for their Christmas market- Smithy Studios are less than 5 minute walk away which was perfect for us! We were greeted by Helen and her beautiful dog Mylo, and we were able to park right outside the property. We stayed in the private luxury suite which was off the main living area (with a gorgeous roaring fire!). The suite had a downstairs seating area with TV, a wet room and the bedroom was up a spiral staircase. Breakfast was included, served in the conservatory and it was everything you could ask for- fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurts, juice, tea and coffee and a beautifully cooked breakfast. Helen was the perfect host throughout and every detail had been thought of- we had a lovely stay!

Mum on a mission for relaxation!

Helen was an amazing host, I visited the owl house day spa for the whole day....15mins from Helens before staying the night. I was greeted with a glass of wine and made very welcome. I spent some of my evening cosied up by her log fire in my pjs listening to my book in her gorgeous home admiring her paintings. My room and bathroom (just a couple of steps across the stairs) were spacious, clean, warm and relaxing. The whole day/evening was the perfect stay for me, a tired mum wanting some pampering, relaxation and a much earned break. The breakfast was art work in itself and I demolished as much as I could. Thank you Helen.

Homely and full of character

Delightful stay in this lovely old property, host Helen and friendly dog Milo made us very welcome. Clean and comfortable, great to have a fridge in the room. Good breakfast, and excellent location. Need a little care on the stairs. Helen's art work a bonus! Recommended.
