Outstanding on all levels.

Just an incredible place and worth every penny! We stayed in Romney - Feb 26, and Franklin Aug 26, and quite honestly I'm sure we will be looking to return again before the year ends! If you asked us what season we preferred we would be unable to decide! Whether its hammering down with rain outside whilst being sat next to a roaring fire indoors, or bright and sunny and being sat with a glass of wine on the terrace or overlooking the rose garden - we have fallen in love with this special place! Both visits, have been unreal. The rooms are out of this world with the highest attention to detail and bursting with character. Whether speaking to a cleaner or the CEO, all of the BH team are welcoming, friendly, helpful and attentive from the second you step out of the car. The food is next level, every single dish from snack to dessert absolutely delicious! The building itself and grounds as picturesque as can be..
Having visited many of the different venues in the South East that boast a similar offering, I would simply put Boys hall in it's own league. Having stayed in the Romeny room the first time round - a stunning superior suite, I was in two minds about whether or not Franklin could live up to the expectations on our second visit, and whilst not quite as large, I was instantly reassured the second the door opened. The Franklin room is MUCH bigger than you would have expected from the initial photos I saw online, I have tried to capture this in my photos for future travellers who may be struggling with room choice. Absolutely gorgeous and would highly reccomend either! Genuinely excited to return and try out more of the rooms on offer!
Our package this time included a visit to the Wayfarer vineyard a short trip away (transfers included), a guided tasting and complimentary bottle from the vineyward in our room. Bought as a birthday gift for my girlfriend, she has had the most wonderful time. Lost count of how many staff members have wished her a happy birthday also, little touches like that truly make your time here special. Cannot reccomend enough!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a beautiful, detailed review of your recent stays with us. We are absolutely thrilled to hear that both your February stay in Romney and your August birthday celebration in Franklin were so magical! It is incredibly rewarding to know that our team—from our housekeeping staff to our leadership—made you feel so warmly welcomed from the moment you arrived.
We are also delighted that your girlfriend had a memorable birthday and enjoyed the Wayfarer vineyard package, along with the extra birthday wishes from the team! Thank you also for uploading your photos.
We are excited for your third visit.

Lovely Meal for Dad’s 60th

We recently visited Boys Hall and had a truly wonderful experience. The venue itself is stunning – the grounds are beautifully maintained, and the house is absolutely gorgeous, full of character and charm.
The food was exceptional, with every dish beautifully presented and full of flavour.
What really made our visit special, however, was the outstanding service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and couldn't do enough for us. No request was too small, and they went above and beyond to ensure everyone at our table was happy.
We had a particularly fussy eater with us, and the team handled every request with patience, understanding, and a smile.
Their willingness to accommodate individual needs was genuinely impressive.
From the beautiful surroundings to the excellent food and first-class service, Boys Hall exceeded our expectations in every way. We would highly recommend it and look forward to returning.

Great pitstop before or after Le Shuttle.

A hidden gem of a place and a perfect pitstop for our trip to France. It’s not far at all from The Channel Tunnel.
And as it was so good, we called again on our way back home!
We needed the peace of mind of a safe place to park our cars. Not only that, because the cars are low to the ground, we wanted a car park that could accommodate supercars / sports cars.
The hotel itself is an independent business, run by a dedicated, hard working team headed by Brad.
The food and service in the restaurant was excellent and Brad’s wine knowledge was great. We even got a tour of the wine cellars. They also make their own English Sparkling Wine, which I can definitely recommend.
As we stayed there twice in two weeks, we realised each room has its own individual design.
The price was very reasonable and the reception staff were amazing too.
Independent hotels that are well run and well kept are hard to find. This one is excellent and deserves success.

Perfect place to recover from jet lag

Lovely, restful stay in a charming historic inn. The building itself is beautiful, 400 years old with wide wooden floors, big fireplaces and cozy nooks for rest, reading or chats. The staff was wonderful and the grounds full of flowers. A plentiful continental breakfast was included and was delicious.

Not great

Don't know why everyone rates this place so high. Some of our meals were tasteless, my lamb was very undercooked, not nearly enough vegetables in the plate. So expensive, and not a lot on the plate. Nice place, but sorry won't be going back there. Also dessert menu was quite limited.
