A lovely hotel in a beautiful area along the River Dee. Attention to detail in the hotel and room were great. A very comfortable bed and a good size bathroom with lovely toiletries.
The food for dinner and breakfast was great quality and great service. Staff were all great. i'd definately stay here again.

4th visit and won’t be the last !

Lovely little hotel in Banchory, the setting is just so peaceful and beautiful with the added bonus of being proper dog friendly although I feel the charge for a dog at £20 per night is a tad expensive considering nothing is provided apart from dog biscuits at the entrance and a very welcome sausage at breakfast! That’s my only gripe about this hotel…..and won’t stop us or our family from coming back!
The manager Davut is the making of this hotel, he’s friendly, welcoming and attentive to all his guests and staff which makes it feel like a family reunion every time we visit.
Can’t wait to return

Good option in Banchory

Banchory Lodge is a stylish period property on the banks of the river and walking distance to the centre of Banchory.
We chose a deluxe room which was spacious and had access to a patio in front of the room. The only problem with this is the door is the only ventilation. When closed the room is very hot, when open you hear the conversations of diners on the terrace.
There is a decent restaurant on site. Food is of a reasonable quality with some interesting dishes but food and drinks are at quite a high price point.
Staff were all very friendly and Ailsa at reception was very welcoming and helpful.

Great outside lunch

We enjoyed a lovely lunch, in the sunshine, outside at the weekend. The menus offer something for everyone - we had the bacon roll and Italian sandwiches, they were delicious, and my daughters bowl of soup and bruschetta were “amazing”. When they get the food and service right here it’s a great experience in a fantastic location.

Lunch

Location great but lunch disappointing - friend had to return mussels as half of them hadn’t opened and my lamb was tough. Mussels were replaced with apology from the chef. However, we felt overall the meal was overpriced and pretty poor. We won’t be rushing back!
