Great service

So on arrival we had a lovely check in from a lady called Sarah. Showed us to our room and explained the hotel to us.
When then came down for dinner that evening and drinks the following evening with lovely ladies called kirsty and Becky. Very polite and great service.
First morning we went down for breakfast and the service from Craig was exceptional and was jolly and happy chappy, the second morning we had a guy called Chris who was very grumpy and miserable no emotion and customer service at all. I was later informed he was a duty manager.
Apart from that everything was perfect and a great stay lovely cozy room and great for the dogs.
Atmosphere was great and chilled felt welcome, very clean and tidy , very quiet , great value for the money, location was perfect a short walk into arundel using the footpaths.
Definitely will return

Staff were off hand. Food poor quality.

Stopped for breakfast. Initial member of staff quite friendly but took a while. Food was poor. Sausages gristly, bacon so salty, tasteless egg and beans. Insipid coffee, tasted like watered down juice. When we left, we went to pay at the bar. Completely ignored by two members of staff discussing who was unpacking a delivery and who was going to House Keeping. Really rude. Toilets needed a good clean. Where we sat had been painted over and was peeling etc. Horrible experience.

Great hotel for meetings with friendly staff

Use the hotel for regular meetings over coffee and occasional breakfast meetings. Ideal with good quality food and drink. Staff are great especially Chris who knows our drinks on arrival

Couldn’t give a s*** attitude

Shocking customer service fro member of bar staff
We stopped off for a coffee , I stood at the bar and I could see he was busy making a couple of coffee for someone else
So I waited patiently and quietly at the bar every time he turned round to put an item on the tray he saw me, totally ignored me not a word
I wasn’t expecting to be served immediately but after 5 times he put an item on the tray I expressed my annoyance at his poor customer service.
He could have said “ I will be with you in a second or just a hello won’t be long “ but to be completely ignored is very poor service and the management need to train this member of staff, after I left my wife heard him moaning to other guests “ I only have one pair of hands” yes but you have a mouth which you should have opened. Shoddy service .

Very disappointing

Went for breakfast 4 or 5 weeks ago, not really very good, then it closed for refurb. It reopened last week under new management, so we went for breakfast today. Served tea and coffee, both lukewarm, then waited for half an hour with no food, there were hardly any people there. "Manager" said he'd check the kitchen. Just being dished up. So it was served. Cutlery had congealed food on it. Both plates of food tepid at best. We weren't charged, but for a "refurbished" under new management venue it was a big disappointment, and a poorer experience than before it closed. The shabby dining room and furniture could do with a good clean and a slick of paint. Shame. We won't be back
