Faultless

We stayed here for 2 nights 16th and 17th August 2026. We traveled to Cardiff for a funeral, a sad occasion. The staff were very pleasant, the room was clean, couldn't fault it, breakfast was fine, plenty of choice. A lovely reception area and bar, bar staff were excellent, friendly and extremely helpful, my husband misplaced his bank card when we went for breakfast the same barman was on duty, I asked if he'd found it, he had, and put it to one side as he knew it was ours. A sad occasion made easier

Poor experience

poor reception service and lack of staff around.
Breakfast poor and Restaurant for evening meal was 2.5hour delay due to training and only one chef working, people were having to eat outside hotel, one lady went to sainsburys down the road and got a salad and took back to room, chaos around the hotel with no leadership. I have a business account with Premiere inn and this was as bad as it can get.

Not a memorable stay

There was no hot water available during our stay due to boiler trouble also the breakfast choices were limited, long queues due to 1 staff member only serving and staff shortages meant tables were not being cleared to cater for demand. In Room 28 bed was small , room basic and with no decaf coffee available. The location for us was good, parking free & plentiful, booking in was automised but the limited staff on duty were apologetic & friendly. I do not think we had value for money.

Should Have Booked A Travelodge

I was forced to use the automated check in which didn't work. Touch the screen, the keyboard appears, lift your finger off screen and the keyboard disappears. This game goes on until you finally manage to catch the keyboard. I assume it is some kind of game!
I checked in the evening before on line as prompted by their email. Despite having a flexible booking (which costs more but allows you to amend the booking) by following their email I couldn't subsequently cancel the second day of my reservation so was ripped off for £100 for a room I didn't need.

Excellent stay, great staff and location.

Excellent stay, staff were professional and polite. Great location. 58 bus stop directly outside the hotel entrance takes you into the centre of town ( roughly 25 mins ).
Had breakfast and evening meal, very good quality and VFM…thoroughly recommend.
