Overall would recommend.
Our bed needed replacing or at least a mattress topper so you couldn’t feel the springs. Room just lacked a bit of love and imagination.
Bathroom huge and very clean and tidy. Shower excellent. Bathroom would benefit from a window covering, for modesty as our room was overlooking the car park.
Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Lovely stay at this country house hotel
We had a lovely stay at this beautiful country house hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were given a very warm welcome by the friendly staff. Every member of the team was professional, polite, attentive, and genuinely caring. They created the atmosphere of a family-run establishment, making us feel valued and at home throughout our stay. The staff really are a credit to the hotel.
The hotel itself was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Every area was impeccably maintained, and the high standard of cleanliness was immediately noticeable.
Our room was spacious and well appointed, with a large bathroom featuring both a walk-in shower and a bath. The bed was extremely comfortable, and there was plenty of storage space for our belongings.
We only had breakfast during our stay, but it was superb, with an excellent selection of high-quality food. The only small suggestion we would make would be to add smoked salmon and scrambled eggs to the menu, although we certainly have no complaints about the breakfast we enjoyed.
The outside terrace was a lovely, relaxing place to sit, overlooking manicured lawns and magnificent ancient trees. There was some traffic noise from the M4, but it did not detract from the peaceful surroundings.
There was ample parking, including accessible spaces for disabled guests.
We would definitely stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. The exceptional staff and the spotless cleanliness made our stay particularly memorable, and we look forward to returning.
