Everything about our stay was wonderful! The Inn was adorable, so quaint. Exactly what we had hoped for. Although it was built in 1795, the place was spotlessly clean. The Innkeeper was wonderful as was breakfast...a proper English breakfast. Their dinners of fish and chips and Bangers and Mash were amazing. The local people were so friendly. Everything was walkable. Just a great stay!!

Sunday lunch - average food great service

We have drunk in the Chichester Inn for some time but never eaten - so we remedied this recently.
Only 3 options available - veggie chicken and lamb so we all had the lamb though one needed to be gluten free. Unfortunately they couldn’t do the cauliflower cheese or the gravy gluten free so this dish was somewhat small in comparison with the others. The meat was perfectly cooked though the portion looked smaller than other diners.
We then had 3 sticky toffee puddings which took 45 minutes to appear and were very bland and stodgy. Service was however excellent and we weren’t in any rush. The Titantic Porter was excellent as was the NZ Sauvignon blanc

Average food for high prices

Fish and chips portion is overpriced for £18 given that they use oven chips. One of our party had a burger which came with onion rings which had come out of a microwave. Peas were not boiled correctly. WiFi does not work in parts of the pub. Toilet facilities are sub par.

Very noisy bed. Venetian blind was broken so couldn't black out the room properly. But the breakfast was amazing! Also free carparking while l explored Chichester. 5-10 mins walk to the centre.

This Inn is an old building and we appreciate that it is difficult to keep clean, but a more thorough dusting of the bedrooms at least would not go amiss.
The bathroom facilities were a bit cramped and tired.
The full breakfasts were fine, but the evening meal choices, and quality, were ok but not inspiring.
The free car park was adequate for the number of rooms, but could be overwhelmed if a function was being held. Other car parks are available nearby.
The location could hardly be bettered, very near the town; the cathedral; and the attractive Bishop's Palace Gardens.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
A satisfactory place for a short stay in Chichester.
