Exceptional stay

We stayed at Sandburn Hall over the bank holiday weekend to celebrate a special occasion. From start to finish it was a 5* stay.
We were welcomed on arrival by a very friendly receptionist. The hotel lobby area is stunning. We stayed in a premier room which was beautiful and very comfortable with a huge bathroom. Staff had left us some chocolates and a card which was really thoughtful. The hotel was quiet too despite there being a large wedding on the same weekend.
Tykes restaurant was outstanding, both the food and the service. The quality of the food was incredible, everything we had was beautiful. As part of our package we also got £30 each towards our evening meal. Breakfast was also very good.
I booked a golf package and the golf course and facilities were also excellent.
Overall a 10/10 stay and we would definitely come back. It's a shame there aren't any spa facilities, but I suppose this reflects in the price which I thought was very reasonable for the August bank holiday weekend, and cheaper than many similar golf hotels in the north.

Such a peaceful stay despite the hotel being fully booked, very friendly and helpful staff. We mentioned it was our anniversary when we arrived and once we were settled into our room staff delivered a card to us and a few chocolates, later on when we went for dinner in Tykes staff again brought out a little anniversary desert plate, it was a wonderful little touch. We have both said we will book again for next year!

I never leave reviews, but myself and my fiancée absolutely loved this hotel and already said we will be going back. Food at the restaurant is fantastic, really relaxing short break.

Golf Society Package

When you say save the best till last we certainly did here.The whole experience was fantastc. The staff were all professional with their brilliant service. Special comment for Natalie and Nathan who made our trip run so smooth with 32 golfers on demand. All of the society was impressed with the whole set up. Well done to Sandburn Hall and thank you for entertaining us we hope to see you again The Corner Pin Golf Society Chester

A wonderful place to stay

I stayed at the Sandburn Hall Hotel York from 13th to 16th August. This hotel is stunning. Beautiful grounds and lots of walks in the woods. There is also a gold course. Bedroom was a big double with huge pillows such luxury. Breakfast was delicious everything you want to eat was there and i did not need lunch. The hotel is spotless and very luxurious. Plenty of choice for evening meals and the staff are very nice and friendly. As i was on my own without a car, a kindly man told me what bus to get into York at a price of £3.00. I would definitely stay there again.
