Five-Star Girls’ Weekend!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The hot tub was a real highlight and the perfect place to spend the evenings. We had a very minor issue with it, but Paula came over straight away and was absolutely lovely. She sorted everything out quickly with a smile, and nothing was too much trouble. It was such fantastic customer service and really showed how much she cares about her guests.
The views are absolutely spectacular, and we never got tired of looking out across the countryside. Watching all the animals throughout the day kept us thoroughly entertained and made the whole experience even more special.
It was the perfect setting for a girls’ getaway, and we all agreed we’d love to come back again. Thank you for such a wonderful stay – we’d highly recommend Throstle Nest Lodges to anyone looking for a memorable weekend away with friends. Five stars from all of us!

Not 9.8 standard
I am sure that our room in 2015 was lovely but grey/white linen and towels (well used) did not make the room attractive. The bag of dirty linen at the front door,waiting to be collected by the laundry did not bode well .
The room was clean with a new carpet but the duvet had not been buttoned and the bottom sheet was not tucked in .
The bathroom looked clean but there was a smell. The hand soap ,hand cream ,shower and bath soap all had the same bottle. Well used , different colours and almost finished. The bottles had been refilled many times. The lavatory paper was cheap and poor quality.
There were stains on the paint work on the walls.
Simple attention to detail would raise the standard.
Breakfast was adequate. Almost empty cereal plastic cereal pots, cheap marmalade sealed portion only supplied after request . One piece of brown wholemeal toast per person looked minimal.
£120 for the night was not reflected in standard. Could be so much better with a little attention to detail. Cleanliness was good. Cooked breakfast good.
