Very helpful staff
I had a lovely stay in the Diamond apartments in Derry in October of last year on a hen party. I lost a
necklace and the team were so good and reached out to me to say they had found it a couple of months later and had it posted to my house. This necklace was very sentimental to me so I’m very grateful to the staff

The only good thing about this place were the painted doors .
First impression dirty , smelly interior , small bed , small TV, no wi-fi , terrible layout , terrible views , cheap fit out, rude correspondence , soiled couch, ridiculous sink & shower head screwed into position etc etc etc see

EXTREMELY NOISY & DISGUSTINGLY FILTHY!!!
This is hands down the worst stay we’ve ever had in our lives! And we did 7 nights in this crap hole! We regretted it the moment we stepped foot inside this dingy, musky, filthy, NOISY AS HELL AND sofa mite infested place! We absolutely hate bnbs and hotels because you are not in control of cleanliness and noise and boy does this one fail big time at both! It is disgustingly dirty and there is CONSTANT LOUD NOISE!!! If you are even thinking about staying at this place, I strongly urge you to do yourselves a favor and dodge this one!!! You’ll be so thankful and happy you did! Unfortunately, Derry has terrible airbnbs and the hotels are tiny as well but I’d rather stay at a tiny hotel where at least they’re obliged to clean. These people front it and pretend they clean but they definitely do not! The sheets do t even smell it feel clean! The moment we sat on the sofa, our whole bodies up to our heads were itching like crazy! It definitely had bed bugs or mites! I could see strands of hair, lint and debris on the cushions so it was not vacuumed or thoroughly cleaned at all! Nonetheless, it has mites for sure! We tried putting the extra sheets over the cushions to see if that helped but mites are stubborn and love dirty, moist fabric.The owner was defensive and insisted that the sofa was new. Yea, newly picked up from off the street or a second hand furniture store! The shower has mold around the lower perimeter and smells musky and disgusting you want to vomit! I cringed taking a shower or even stepping foot inside the bathroom. The ceilings and walls are all paper thin! You hear the heavy fire doors constantly opening and slamming closed and I mean almost every 5 minutes! All the way until 4:00 AM! You hear kids screaming and running back and forth above you and adults slamming bags/luggage right above where you’re sleeping! And when their inconsiderate, uneducated, selfish asses finally check out, you get the “cleaners” come in 30 minutes later to make more loud noises with more slamming, bagging and constant noise. It is a complete nightmare!!! I’ve never been more miserable at a place to stay but we were stuck because all the hotels were rented out for a soccer tournament in the July! Never, ever again!!!

There’s better places nearby
The host was very helpful and responsive but on the whole this place should be avoided because:
- it smells badly of damp
- the stairs are steep and there’s no lift
- the rooms are so small the beds take up the whole room and you can’t actually walk around the beds you have to climb over them to get to the other side
- there’s not even a toilet brush so you couldn’t clean it after going!
- it’s noisy, you can hear all the other flats clattering around in the middle of the night
- the mattresses are very poor quality. Got back ache.

Fast WiFi on second floor
Nice location but very steep stairs with no elevator. So going up and down the stairs is limited. Carrying up the luggage, not even a heavy one is a challenge. There is no parking space in the front of the house as well, and a busy area means plenty of cars fighting for a few parking spots. Long term parking is down hill so rolling luggage up is a challenge. Travel light. Beds were comfortable and noise outside was not as bad since there are no bars nearby. Apartment is updated and well furnished.
