The staff were absolutely amazing and the area is lovely. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again… unless it’s summer.
Our room was on the top floor - it’s also worth noting that anyone who struggles with stairs would not be able to stay at this hotel unless there is ground floor rooms - the stairs are extremely steep and narrow so you have to walk sideways.
The room advertises a fan which was partially why we booked but although a good one was provided, it did little to help. The heat rose through the property and the floor was hot to touch, as were the walls. It was very literally a sweat box.
I know this is not usual weather, but I feel it is relevant to let others know that you will not be comfortable at all if it’s hot outside. Other than installing air con, there’s not much the hotel can do, but we ended up having showers throughout the night just to be able to breathe and at one point in the early hours we had to sit in the car to cool down.

They cancelled my booking.

They demanded my card details over the phone. When I refused they cancelled my booking.
