Good experience

Good 2 night stay at hotel, lovely and clean everything you needed in rooms.
Service of some of the staff amazing ladie blonde hair on breakfast was fantastic.
Location good for us was out the way a little.
Got food from across the hotel once it was OK. But brought starter out with our main meals . Service wasn't that good as asked why it all come out together and the young boy didn't know why and wasn't bothered. So save yourself the hassle and go for food else we're.
Hotel was lovely..

Great Stay and even Greater Breakfast.....

I cannot recommend this hotel enough,
Some absolute Service Superstars who look after you from check on to check out.
On reception was greeted by the friendly Nathan who as always consistent on his approach to dealing with customers, friendly and helpful. Wanted to book some rooms for an event and he patiently and efficiently took my booking and sorted this for me.
For me when staying in a hotel, the rooms should be comfortable and clean which they are but a bigger draw is the Breakfast the next morning and I feel that this place delivers a great Breakfast at a great Price.
Thanks to Sam, the Chef at Breakfast, I do often pop into the hotel just for breakfast on a Saturday morning and find the quality of the food and the standards of cooking when she is in the kitchen are consistently great. Very tasty. Thanks Sam.
Some great waitresses in the hotel, Today I was served by Alex at Breakfast, as it was warm I asked if I could take my breakfast outside and she offered to set a table up for me, nothing was too much trouble. Very helpful and again friendly.
I would recommend the Hotel for a comfortable nights stay and look forward to staying again.
In closing I am aware that the Hotel is under new ownership and I would also like to wish the new owners all the best moving forward and look forward to many more evenings at events in the Hotel.
Thanks everyone ☺️

Dear Mark,
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review.
It's great to hear that you had another enjoyable stay with us and that so many of our team helped make your visit a positive one.
Nathan will be pleased to hear your comments. He always aims to provide a friendly and helpful service, so it's great to know he was able to assist with your booking and make the process straightforward.
Thank you also for your kind words about Sam and Alex. We know how important breakfast is to our guests, and we're delighted that you continue to enjoy both the quality of the food and the service. Sam takes a lot of pride in what she does, and Alex will be pleased to know that her extra effort was appreciated.
As you mentioned, the hotel is now under new ownership and we are currently making a number of improvements across the business. We are looking forward to introducing further changes over the coming months and hope you'll continue to visit us and see these for yourself.
Thank you again for your support and recommendation. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.
Kind regards,
Business traveller

Clean and Functional

Wow-it doesn't happen very often when posting on Trip Advisor, that my review follows a review by a serial contributor, whose thoughts are so different to mine, but here goes:
I was at Pastures this week on business, it wasn't a Saturday night
Firstly the hotel-no frills, but clean, the bed was not the worst, and most of the staff were helpful, especially Alex (F) in Pastures Lodge Restaurant, who who had a nice manner and a nice smile
As far as my experience of Pastures Lodge was: It was nicely busy, and the Muzak grew on me. Comprehensive menu and good wine list, at non-rip off prices.Grab a table and order your food at the bar. Lamb Kofta starter bang on, loved the pomegranate, and my 8oz Rump was well cooked.

Disappointed with food

Booked Saturday night dinner b&b only to be told on arrival that the restaurant was closed for private function. We were sent to the Pastures pub across the road - the tackiest most dingy pub with the most atrocious food. This place makes Wetherspoon seem like The Ritz. To add insult to injury we were told there would an hour wait- in the end we waited 80 minutes for cold miserable food. At least when we complained at the hotel the dinner charge and drinks cost were taken off bill. Worse was to come with the disorganised breakfast where they couldn’t seem to cope with the (not unreasonable) numbers of guests. We waited 10 minutes for new plates at the buffet and by then (this was only 9:15am) food had run out. Previously we’ve stayed at the lovely Best Western at Preston and this certainly puts this place in the shade.

Very good location
