Restful night and splendid breakfast.

Warm welcome. Splendid room and facilities in a thought through arrangement. Great night's sleep. Good mattress. Excellent breakfast with fine selection of jams, bread, drinks. Helpful advice on where to eat and engaging hosts who were around without being annoying - tricky balance pulled off with grace and skill.

Wonderful

Excellent hosts. Really comfortable bed, even gave us a homemade chocolate cake when we arrived which was delicious and a lovely surprise. Parking a little tight but my husband is an excellent driver.

Beautiful Victorian House overlooking a Field of Sheep

Beautiful Victorian house overlooking a field of sheep yet only a few minutes walk to the town centre. Friendly welcoming hosts who were able to put an extra bed in our room after our son decided he was joining us. Yummy homemade cake is available all day in the dining room as is fresh milk to use in hot drinks . Bedroom was spacious, light, airy and lovingly furnished to fit in perfect with style of house. Bathroom was small but adequate although an extra shelf would have been welcome . Breakfast was good and served in the elegant dining room overlooking a lively garden . A real gem!

Comfortable B&B

We stayed for one night booked through Contours while we were walking the North Downs Way.
We had a warm welcome with cakes on arrival.
Our room was a large double, with plenty of space, it was very comfortable and had a great view.
Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice.
Normally Contours book us an en-suite room with a shower, this had a separate private bathroom with a bath (no shower). This wouldn't be our preference but realise it would be for some.

Many thanks for taking time to write such a lovely review. We love our guests from Contour Walking holidays but wish we could “keep” them for longer than one night! Dorking and the surrounding Surrey Hills are wonderful for walking and cycling. We’re delighted you enjoyed your room and the view - part of your walk along the North Downs Way is clearly visible up to Ranmore and Denbies Vineyard Hillside. A gem in dorking

What a gem, Maggie and Richard were excellent hosts, so welcoming.
Our room was tastefully decorated and so comfy with tea making facilities,and fresh homemade cake every day. 5 min walk from dorking high st. We would highly recommended
