Birthday Tea

Party of 5 friends out for birthday tea.
Food was excellent hot & very tasty. We each all had a different meal & we all enjoyed the food.. we each had a pudding 3 opted for after eight cheesecake & I had apple& raspberry tart with ice cream yummy ! Staff came with a cake & candle awww…. Was very kind of them… staff were great attentive & friendly . Nice warm atmosphere.. all in all a nice catch up made better by the nice relaxed ambiance. Thanks from us all..

Room clean but small bed uncomfortable but adequate. Soweroom a bit on the getting old shower door hanging off the rains and a bit of black mould .( needs resealing )
No towels in room and a razor lying on the floor
No parking around as such .
Dinning was fantastic food gret and staff very attentive.
No breakfast in cl ued in the price have which have been much nice and for less money but breckfast was included. stayed in some of the other hotels breckfast was in clused

Left with no service at end meal

Booked 730pmSunday 2nd August before local bank holiday Monday,fairly busy
when arrived 4 of us with family members from Sheffield starters and main meals arrived which was fine,lounge then emptied we were only customers left our main meal
cutlery was left on table not asked if we fancied any sweets or hot drink it was as if place was closing,I am not complaining about food it was fine but lack of service at end meal not acceptable and unusual for fort,not a good end to a normally reliable
restaurant,left us with a bad taste especially as we had visitors.

Great night away with friends

Just returned from a great night in Broughty Ferry, The Fort Hotel is centrally located in the small town with a lovely warm friendly atmosphere. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean and we found all the staff so pleasant, our room was quite compact but had everything you need and was so clean and fresh. They have a large public bar and restaurant which is very busy at weekends but with sufficient staff on duty we didn’t wait long for service. They also have a DJ or live music on Fri/Sat evenings until 2am so you will hear this from your room. Be warned.
We had their breakfast which was cooked fresh to order and great value with various options.
Would definitely stay again, thanks to all the team for making our stay so much fun.

Good value. Great staff

I have eaten at the Fort many times, food and staff or top.notch. but this was first overnight.
Its very off season so I checked in at the bar , there is a reception desk through hotel entrance which I imagine is manned when more people are staying.
I was quickly checked in, I was originally booked for the annex of hotel across the road as a couple but was offered the main building as I was now solo. The caveat of this is the bar is open to 2am. So if light sleeper might not suit. To be honest, I barely heard anything.
Room was clean, good size for couple of nights and bed very comfortable.
Breakfast had all your basic choices. I had cooked breakfast, made to order. I knew it would be good, it was.
Staff helpful in organising a taxi when I checked out.
Location..
Centre of Broughty Ferry, near water front. Lots of little independent shops around.
I have already recommend The Fort to family and friends.
