Great hotel
Lovely friendly staff. Big clean rooms .. easy parking. Easy to find ... Only 5 mins drive from Durham... Varied between 5 and 10 pounds in an Uber

Ok but could with room improvements
Location is good for going to Durham, Seaham beach. The rooms could be freshened up more as ours smelt of staleness and grease. It should be written on the website that we needed to inform reception the night before to have our bedroom cleaned in the morning as the next day when we came back to the hotel we found out that our room hadn’t been cleaned.

Family room/July: Staff has issues with finding bookings made over Hotels.com. Took a while to check in. Worse is that ventilation is substandard, despite being 14 C degrees outside at night room is still 30+ C degrees at night, stagnant air.
Breakfast was ok. Transport is about ten minutes from the rail station/bus terminal with line 21 or 14 (Go North East).
All in all, would probably be ok during cold months at low price.

Friendly staff
Stayed here last week and the staff were all super friendly and helpful from the receptionists to the breakfast staff. Breakfast was great- help yourself and food was fresh coming from the chef. Clean room and the window opened, we also had a fan. Would definitely stay again if we return to Durham.

Never again in the summer without air con.
Never again will I stay in a Premier Inn without air con, 2 night stay and only a small pedestal fan for cooling our room which was 32 degrees ambient temperature as per room stat on the first night and even though the outside temperature on the 2nd day was 17 degrees in the evening our room temperature was still 30 degrees, mentioned this to reception staff and they acknowledged it was a problem, unfortunately nothing more could be done.
