Avoid like the plague!
Don’t even think about staying here. I searched for “bed and breakfast” and was somewhat surprised that my Booking.com confirmation arrived and there is “no breakfast”. However, I thought I would give it a try anyway.
Imagine my surprise when I arrived and was shown to a room smaller than the average prison cell in Britain. It has filing cabinets for your clothes, but no bedside table or reading lamp.
My “private bathroom” is across the hall. Every 73 year old man with prostate problems just loves jogging across the hall in his Y-fronts at 3,00 a.m.
The bed may be perfect for a 10 year old, but not a 6’4” man weighing close to 20 stone.
The ghastly hostess’s reaction was “This is what you paid for, and your Booking.com confirmation says it is a standard John Lewis bed, and your bathroom is across the hall. Complete and utter bulls..it!
The website says “every room has a city view “. Mine is of two windows in the next door house.
I paid £133 per night for this place. This is utterly ridiculous. The only positive thing I can say is that it feels quite clean.
