Location location location (and it was clean and safe)

The best thing is the location. We decided to attend Festival and Fringe events only in the Old Town, and everything was just a few minutes walk from the apartment. We will definitely try to book again for next August as it was so convenient as to outweigh any minor discomforts. We booked an apartment that would sleep up to 4 but we found it just right for 2 friends. I took the double bedroom, and found the bed very comfy; my friend was less complimentary about the sofa bed. The shower room is a bit cramped but everything worked well, was very clean, and we always had plentiful hot water. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful and provided extra toilet rolls very quickly when asked. And we felt entirely safe there, as our windows were high above the street and there are multiple digital security doors. Was it noisy? Oh yes, the street noise drifts up from Cowgate, but we threw ourselves into the Fringe spirit and stayed out late every night, and by going to bed late and not entirely sober we found miraculously that the earplugs provided were not needed. There is enough space to put your stuff in both rooms, the linens were all fresh and decent quality, the floors were spotless and the curtains heavy enough to block the morning sun. We will be back. Watch out for small damages.

Despite the good location, we are quite disappointed with how our stay ended. They charged us 80 pounds for a curtain rod that was already broken. Is this a trap? Be careful with any damages, no matter how small they are; take photos.

For being a property with no on site front desk person, we were very impressed. You have to make sure to keep the entry codes handy for sure - this place is located in a very busy part of town and there is a bus stop right outside the door so a lot of people are around. Staff was very accommodating and helpful - every message we sent was replied to right away. Parking is hard so we returned our rental at the train station before walking to the property.
The room itself was very nice and clean - excellent stay.

Fantastic little apartment perfectly located in central Edinburgh. Signal wasn't great but WiFi provided so was able to connect. Can get a bit noisy on evenings but you're on a high street so now to be expected, plus the windows do a great job of blocking out sound.
Really simple to get into apartment, just make sure you look for the sign as we walked right past it initially!
Overall amazing stay, would stay again.

Great location and a wonderful place to stay. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the virtual check-in process was seamless and hassle-free.
We stayed as a family of four and had a fantastic experience. The only downside is that there are no elevators, so carrying heavy luggage upstairs can be challenging. We had several large suitcases ourselves, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker for us.
The excellent location, roomy accommodations, and smooth overall experience more than made up for that minor inconvenience. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Edinburgh.
