Firstly, fantastic location. Steps from Waverley station and lots of restaurant choices.
It is quite literally a short walk to most sights. Calton Hill is a five minute walk, as well as the Scott monument and Princes park.
We did the hike up Arthur's Seat and Holyrood castle, which from the hotel took us just over two hours to complete a round trip.
There is a convenience store on the same block as well.
The hotel is very clean and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Our room was small but clean. I feel a little overpriced but you also pay for location.
The only let downs in the room were that there was no mini fridge and no iron or ironing board. They did get us one on request though.
Our A/C did leak from the ceiling the entire stay, so the carpet in front of the bathroom was fairly wet. We did notify the desk but seemed nothing was done to stop it.
Overall though the hotel served its purpose by being close to everything we had on our itinerary to do.

The room was clean & nicely decorated. Breakfast was nice & had a decent amount of variety. Staff was friendly. The hotel was central & convenient to visit the attractions we planned to visit.

Great location. Comfortable room. Helpful and efficient staff. Lack of storage in rooms is only downside for people like me staying several nights. Drawers would be welcome.

The location of the hotel is perfect! Opposite the station in the centre of the city, close to the old town and near all the shopping on George Street and Princess Street. The hotel staff were welcoming and helpful, giving us directions to the concert venue even though the trams were not running from Princess street. The hotel bar is the perfect spot to relax after a busy day. The room was clean and comfortable with everything you need for a short visit to Edinburgh. I would definitely recommend and we will be back next time we visit Edinburgh. Thanks to all the team who made the weekend special!
