Ideal position for bus station and tram stop.
Beautiful hotel furnished to a very high standard.

Perfectly located.

This is a perfectly located hotel. It was extremely accommodating and an excellent stay. When we are back we will stay again for sure.

Fell below expectations and safety and security is concerning

We selected the hotel based off its reviews.
Positives: location. Friendly staff, large room, high end toiletries. It was clean
Negatives: we were placed in rooms 2 houses down from the main hotel in an annex. It was austere with no reception or security. The furniture looked lost in the room. When the temp dropped there was no heating, the main hotel was heated. The duvet to the superior king bed was too small and not of high quality. The breakfast, taken in the main buildings, was adequate but we got the feeling it was on a tight budget. No room safe or in room mini bar.
The annex experience felt like a cheap bnb rather than a boutique hotel.
Big Negatives: a. Our room door did not always self close and one day house keeping left ithe door open all day. b. As previous no security or reception in the annex and the access key card includes details of the hotel and your room number. This is very bad practice.
Conclusion: For us not good value and a little uncomfortable. We will not be returning.

Check in was excellent - very friendly and efficient. Our room was in the neighbouring building. We didn’t know this when booking, and I wondering if it would be inferior standards. I needn’t have worried however. The member of staff carried our bag to the door for us (2 doors along from the main hotel) and showed us how to operate the entry system with our key card. Our room was perfect! Very clean and comfortable, with fluffy bathrobes, slippers, plenty of coffee, tea etc (including decaf), bottled water … everything we could possibly need. The shower enclosure was a bit small but was immaculate like everything else. Fantastic location for our visit to Edinburgh Playhouse, and for the Ember bus to Edinburgh and back. My husband has limited mobility but easily managed the walk to the Playhouse. I had made an error when booking online but the staff could not have been more helpful in sorting it out for me and ensuring I was booked in for the correct date. I would definitely return to the hotel and highly recommend it to others. Thank you!

Great place to stay while in the Edinburgh. Friendly staff and close to so many things. Rooms were well maintained and breakfast at the hotel was a great perk.
