Basic but handy for airport

Booked on the same day as we needed to fly the following morning. Double room, shared bathroom, all clean and comfortable. No staff on site but pleasant lady you could ring if any problems. Happy with the accommodation and good value for an overnight stay.

Absolutely appalling and disgusting place.

Absolutely appalling. This was a dirty and disgusting place to stay. The chap at the desk appeared to be upset at us turning up and could not be more unhelpful. In the room the towels were on a radiator drying. Chap at desk came in a folded them and gave us damp towels. The radiator had been on full and this was during the hot spell in June 2025. The room was incredibly hot so we tried to air the room. The windows were broken so would not open. (See photo) Took room ages to cool down again as we had to open our door. You could see into room from anywhere in the reception as we had ground floor room so no privacy. The reception (laughable to call it that. It was a random desk that was unmanned most of the time) had no fans to hire etc.
Room was not clean. Shower was grotty. Laminate on floor cracked and trapped your foot when stepped on.
Windows were grimy and had black dirt and mould marks around them.
We grabbed some throws from the car to sleep on. Didn’t want to risk the sheets next to our skin.
Through night there was noise migrating from the reception area which kept us awake 90% of the night. We booked this place to feel rested before our flight. But felt worse following this stay.
The key safe to leave keys after checking out was broken so we left it on an unmanned desk and took photo to prove this
Check my photos and make your own mind up but I will never return to this property and will never recommend it to anyone.
If I could give no stars I would but one is the worst I can do.

Comfy and Cosy

Excellent little hotel. Everything was spotlessly clean. I couldn't fault it.
I thought it was closer to the airport and I had to get a taxi to the airport on Sunday morning because there are no buses running that day.

Lost payment rather than stay here.

Booked for 1 night before flying from Stansted . Very disappointed with the accommodation and decided not to stay! Paint peeling from walls , beds incredibly uncomfortable and bedding all dark colours , nothing clean, crisp or inviting about the room at all! Old and dated .
Preferred to lose payment than stay .
I couldn’t recommend this accommodation for anyone .
