Would avoid!!

We booked this stay last minute directly with the supplier. Almost immediately after booking, I realised my email address had been misspelt — completely my fault — but I contacted them straight away to correct it. Over the next 28 hours, I sent three emails and messaged two of their social media pages, explaining that I wasn’t receiving any booking information. I received no response whatsoever.
When it came to check-in, we decided to go anyway, hoping we’d be able to sort things out on arrival. Unfortunately, there was no staff present at all — just two other groups of guests who were in the exact same situation, also without emails or keycodes.
Thankfully, those guests shared emergency contact numbers with us, but even then, we struggled to get through. When we finally reached someone, we were told it “wasn’t anything to do with her” — despite the fact she clearly had access to the information we needed. It was all very confusing and unhelpful.
If it hadn’t been for the kindness of other guests, we would have been left stranded with three very young children.
After our stay, I emailed again to raise these concerns, and once again, there was no response. The complete lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable.
As a travel agent, I would strongly advise others to avoid booking here unless you’re prepared for unnecessary stress and frustration.

Relaxing Pod Stay!

We stayed in a pod last year and it exceeded our expectations! A comfy double bed, sofa, kitchenette and bathroom! The view from the small decking was beautiful! There is heated flooring which makes stays outside of summer/ spring even better! You receive a code the day of stay to access your pod. There is a car park just opposite the road.

A lovely little country adventure!

I booked one of the Carlton Manor pods at the last minute to extend a trip to 'The Deep' in Hull into a little half term adventure. It worked perfectly. Whilst the location is really remote, the pods are fabulous and it's actually easy to find places to pick up what you need - it just takes a bit of planning ahead or a 15/20min drive to Tesco in Hornsea. We stayed when there wasn't a private function in the main house so it was very quiet even with others staying in nearby pods.
My 7 year old niece nic-named our pod 'The Giant PigPen' (meant with absolute affection, given she didn't want to leave!!) she was in awe when she opened the door in the evening to find it looked like a fairy garden outside. I booked the larger pod with 2 double beds and a single bunk. The beds are extremely comfortable. Heating is via underfloor heating I think (cue her PJ's being laid on the floor to warm up before bed!). Given our February stay, we were not cold at all. We had everything we needed for a very comfy 1 night stay. As other reviews mention the Kitchen area has a microwave and stove top and it's really easy to have a cosy evening. We had taken a board game just in case and the location has really strong wifi and a tv that links up to streaming services.
In terms of service I was promised a booking text on the day of arrival and it arrived nice and early, with a personal touch and great instructions for where to go and what to do.
It would have been really easy to just book into a chain hotel and stayed in the city to make life easier but I'm really glad I thought outside the box a little a took a chance on a cute little pod (or giant PiggyPen!).

Great Pods and Hosts, but Venue Noise is an issue

We stayed in one of the glamping pods at Carlton Manor as a family of four (two adults, two children). The pod itself was excellent – very clean, spacious, and in a lovely rural location close to Hornsea. The beds were extremely comfortable, and there was plenty of room for our one-night stay. Check-in was quick and easy, parking was good, and it felt like a safe place for the children to run around. Communication with the owners was excellent – they were very helpful and easy to contact.
Unfortunately, our stay coincided with a wedding at the venue. A large group of guests gathered on the main house patio late into the night, shouting and swearing, which woke our children twice and meant we didn’t get much sleep. Although the hosts acted quickly and messaged the guests (which helped reduce the noise), the damage was already done and the peaceful, tranquil break we had hoped for was spoiled.
The grounds around the pods also felt a little unkept and overgrown, and a toaster in the kitchen would have been a useful addition.
Overall, the pod itself and the hosts were fantastic, but the noise from the wedding party and the immediate surroundings let the experience down. With a few improvements, this could be a perfect spot for a relaxing family stay
