A Great Staff Team
I have been visiting this hotel for three years, in my working capacity as a Tour Manager. So far in 2026 I have stayed for 8 x 2 night stays. In my experience, this Hotel is unique. As a City Centre Hotel it is very well placed for all that the fabulous City of Exeter has to offer. However, in addition the Hotel benefits from an amazing staff team. Their input transforms what might otherwise have been seen by some as a somewhat bland, corporate experience into a welcoming city Centre Haven, where guests are valued & helped by the entire Customer Facing team. I really can’t thank them enough for taking such good care of the guests that I’m so happy to bring to the hotel. I don’t know everybody by name but I will list the staff members whose names I do know, that have been particularly helpful this year. I’m also aware that there are other people, particularly those working behind the scenes, that I’m unaware of, but nonetheless thankful to. Leonardo Hotel‘s Group, you can be very proud of your team in Exeter.

Perfectly average stay
This is a well-located hotel in the centre of town with everything within walking distance. The room itself was lovely, and the bed was comfy. The bathroom could have been a bit nicer and more inspiring, but it was ultimately clean and serviceable. I did not eat in the hotel. I felt it was good value for what you get.

Very Greatful!
Just wanted to say a massive thank you to Luke (Night Manager) who let both me and my partner chill in the lobby whilst we waited for our National Express coach in the early hours of the morning! We had all our luggage on us and couldn’t think of anything worse than dragging it around the city centre or having to stand in a cold bus shelter, so we asked and Luke kindly offered us to wait in the lobby which we greatly appreciated. Also offered us refreshments too which was also a lovely gesture.
Luke is a great tribute to your team and clearly goes above and beyond for his guests/customers!

Lovely centralised hotel
We stayed here for the Powderham Castle Concerts. The location was brilliant, the hotel is clean and the staff very polite and helpful. The breakfast was lovely each morning, a nice variety.
