Highly recommended, we can't wait to come back!

Great location, lovely staff, very comfortable bed. Pool & gym an added bonus! Delicious breakfast , made freshly for you. Will definitely be back! As an added note, there were 2 blind guests staying at the same time, Wendy could not do enough for them. From guiding them from their rooms for breakfast, serving their drinks, cutting up food etc... All done with patience and a smile!

A bit run down, but still a good value stay.

Booked a one night stay as we were visiting friends at a local motorhome park. Dropped off car in car park early and the staff were very friendly and didn’t have a problem with us leaving our car. Check in was seamless. Room was ok, but dated. They are modernising the rooms and it will make a big difference, once completed. A bit short on staff at times. Breakfast was ok.

High tea

We are currently on holiday and had a wonderful experience at Royal Hotel. Although they don’t usually offer high tea during the week, the team kindly accommodated our request and put together an amazing spread of food for us.
Everything was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. What really stood out was how accommodating and attentive the staff were throughout nothing was too much trouble. We genuinely couldn’t fault the team in any way and would highly recommend them to anyone visiting the area!

Excellent Wedding Day

We got married on Thursday in the hotel.
Everything went to plan, thanks solely to Moira. She is an absolute legend. Exceptionally efficient and such a calming person. Nothing was too much bother. Infact all the staff that were present on our stay were fab.
The food was lovey, sticky toffee pudding was to die for. Very large portions, so you won't go hungry.
Unfortunately we didn't have time to use the spa, so can't comment on that.
Anyone considering booking their wedding, ask for Moira to organise and implement it and you won't regret it. It will be your fairytale day.

Great food at great prices!

Had a rather lovely meal here last week. The service was excellent (and very quick and efficient.) The staff were incredibly friendly and very helpful in suggesting places to visit in the locale. The food was really top-notch and great value for money. All in all a great experience and one I'd highly recommend.
