Fantastic house...fantasic holiday!
We had a 3-bedroom holiday house, with a private garden at the back. It was part of a complex which included a car park and a shared front garden that sat facing the canal, with spectacular views looking towards Ben Nevis. It was the lovliest holiday accommodation we have ever had! It was spotlessly clean, modern, warm, cosy and a real home from home. Frances is the most lovely, welcoming host and she was always at the end of the phone if we needed her. There was a welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and shortbread and everything you needed for a comfortable stay, was there.
This house was perfect for visiting all sorts of attractions and activities. We climbed halfway up Ben Nevis (will try and get to the top next time), and also visited the loch and aqueduct at Glenfinnan (the Harry Potter film location). We took part in quad biking and clay pigeon shooting at the 'Glenbogle/Monach of the Glen' location at Ardverikie estate and white water rafting (courtesy of Highland Activities). The scenery was breath-taking! I could tell you about much, much more but you have to experience it for yourself.
We can't wait to go back to Fort William and when we do, it will be at Frances and Ian's fab house again. Oh, one more thing...we felt privileged to be the first guests to use the Wi-Fi which was put in while we were there...it made the boys' holiday!

Lovely well appointed apartment
2 bedrooms 1 double 1 twin. Very clean and well furnished. Frances is so welcoming and gives you plenty of local knowledge.
The hotel next door The Moorings serve lovely meals (best to book). Also The Lochy pub just across the railway good pub food and even when busy they were so accommodating.
Easy drive into Fort William about 10 mins.
Lovely to watch all kinds of boats going down Neptune's Staircase (8 locks in all)
The train ride to Mallaig a must. We used the Scotrail service rather than the steam train. Half the price and quicker. Plenty of time to get photos of the famous Harry Potter viaduct.
You can board the train at Banavie and pay on the train however the trains get busy so we went into Fort William the day before and booked and reserved our seats.
A fabulous holiday.

Fantastic view of Ben Nevis!
We were travelling with our dogs and the owner even provided doggie towels, there was washing machine and dryer which came in really useful.
