A birthday treat for daughter

I have been here a couple of times, the steaks are so tasty and their Lasagna is so morish.. I was so full but could not stop eating it. I cant complain about any visit. Food is amazing, great staff. The last visit we were sat by a table that unfortunately one woman was on the loud side, they moved us to another area. Thank you to the young lady who made this possible

Booking was missed

Booked a table online arrived and she didn’t appear to have the booking had an email to prove it she just said the restaurant is full but you can sit anywhere in the bar that has an empty table so our booking was obviously missed but she didn’t seen bothered Shame as the food we had was nice

Don’t stay here ! Awful, stinks of stale beer and smoke and dodgy drains!

It was the only rental room as the other rooms were being refurbished, and I don’t believe it should have been rented out and our money taken!
Small pokey room, the bathroom smelt and the noise from the smoking area went on past 1130pm!
The bed linen was horrible and so were the towels.
They were not doing any food at the pub, this wasn’t clear on booking!
The only plus was there was free parking!
Didn’t go elsewhere as we were only staying one night and made the best of it, had I been staying longer I would have voted with my feet! Absolutely rubbish.

Excellent food

Excellent food, so good we ate there 3 nights in a row, black rock steaks were the best I’ve had! Great beer garden, nice atmosphere and staff were super friendly especially Kat, couldn’t be more accommodating…trust me the place to eat when in Frome

Waste of time booking

If I could rate zero I would. Booked a table online for 6.30pm. Arrived at 6.17pm and told the the table wasn’t quite ready even though not very busy. Bought a drink and sat at the bar, advised that we would be seated very soon.
Completely ignored by the numerous bar and waiting staff. Finished drinks at 6.41pm
Took glasses back to the bar and told the staff not to bother. Bar staff couldn’t care less and no apology given.
Shocking . I will never return. Manners cost nothing !
