Elegant stay, exceeded expectations
Beautiful castle (mansion) hotel nestled in the garden neighborhood community of Pollockshields in Glasgow. Loved our Junior Suite (in one of the two turrets) with comfortable bed, spacious room, bear claw tub, nice views, coffee maker, tea hotpot, refrigerator stock with a bottle of still and sparkling water. The service, restaurant and bar is also all good. The room included breakfast (hot and cold choices). 18 rooms, some in main castle and some in adjoining buildings. A few stairs to get to rooms. I see now how this is a perfect wedding or special event venue.

Very nice location, junior suites in the castle were outstanding (big, clean, comfortable and very nice). We also had dinner at the restaurant which was also very tasty and of high quality. I would absolutely recommend this hotel for visiting Glasgow!

We booked this place on the understanding all accom would be of a high standard but on arrival we were relegated to rooms off the carpark which felt no better than a road side inn. It was very expensive for the level of accom we were given. None of the opulence of the castle accom was included in the rooms we were given. The whole point of staying in a place like this is for the history and the grandeur, none of which the carpark rooms offer. We asked the check-in clerk if we could be moved and expressed our displeasure with the accom. We were offered a refund which is helpful late on a Friday night after a full day of travel. At no point did anyone offer a way to turn such a negative experience into a positive one. When I said how much I had paid I was told I was lucky as it can be even more expensive!
Also don’t book when a wedding is on as they take priority over all of the spaces. It was not possible to use a common area without the wedding party occupying it, including photos in the carpark!
When we returned from dinner we were greeted with vomit through the carpark from the wedding guests. Perfect way to sum our stay up here. Never again!!

We recently had our wedding at Sherbrooke Castle and couldn't have asked for a better venue.
The castle itself is absolutely stunning and provided the perfect setting for our special day. We stayed the night before the wedding and on the wedding night, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable and relaxed.
The staff were exceptional from start to finish. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and always had a smile on their face. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they couldn't do enough for us throughout the day.
A special mention must go to Claire and William. They were fantastic during the planning process and on the day itself. No matter how small the question or request, they were always happy to help and quick to respond. Their support made everything feel easy and stress free.
Everything ran incredibly smoothly, allowing us to enjoy every moment with our family and friends. The food was also outstanding. So many of our guests commented on how delicious it was, along with how beautiful the venue looked and how attentive the staff were.
Sherbrooke Castle exceeded our expectations in every way. We are so grateful to everyone involved for helping create such a memorable day and would highly recommend the venue to any couple planning their wedding.

Some staff and decor need attention
We attended as wedding guests and for the price of our room I expected more. No shampoo, conditioner or shower fell in the cubicle. Instead tiny little bottles on the side of the sink. The rooms are ready to be redocorated and up dated. During our evening meal where there were members of the wedding guests for the next day and a 90th birthday party in, our server, I believe, Gregor was the most miserable person I have ever met. There was very little interaction with people and certainly not a smile on his face. Not good for customer service.
In comparison the next morning of the wedding we had Jamal, absolutely nothing was any trouble for him. He came to the brides room with a smile wished her well, brought some fizz and made us all laugh. You need to have more Jamal’s working there even on the day we were all leaving he remembered our names spoke to us personally and professionally an absolute gem!!
The wedding co-ordinater whose name I have forgotten was on point at all times and made the day run smoothly for all.
