Two couples plus dog.
A lovely location, the Pub is pretty basic but warm and welcoming.
Excellent selection of food at sensible prices and very good quality.
The four of us had different dishes and all thoroughly enjoyed the food.
Friendly and efficient Service by Staff who gave us information about local walks etc.
A gathering of motor cyclists was being organised in the evening, with planned musical entertainment.
It looked like good fun.

The place to Stay
The Pub
What a lovely olde worldie locals pub with lots of natural features. A warm welcome from the landlady over the telephone. And the barman working on shift. The customers all seamed lovely.
The food
Just WOW
I had th e fish and chips of the menu and considering I've just been in Cornwall for a week I need to fish and chips fresh out of the sea this fish was amazing it was lovely inflating the battle was crisp and light and chips will fluffy and then I had sides salad and mushy peas I mean what more can you want my wife had a homemade chicken burger which was delicious as well beautifully seasoned lovely chips and a good side salad.
The bar
What an amazing array of drinks and ciders they had over 9 still ciders and at least two ciders on tap we added taste test on a few of them and we come to the conclusion that they were all too good to choose so we might have had to try a few of them.
The hotel
I booked a surprised night away on booking.com nut I would suggest not ro book this way. I would say to phone the pub directly to make a reservation. The room we had was a family room which was split into 2 rooms with 2 double beds 1 in each room and a set of bunk beds in one of the double rooms. The beds were so comfortable you will have an amazing night's sleep .
The bathroom
This had a brilliant power shower in whish was awesome. A toilet and a sink. All in all Amazing

A beautiful pub full of history and charm
The family room was perfect for us and view of the river was lovely too.
The locals are super friendly and full of information of the local area and sharing stories of the history of the pub. It's a beautiful pub with charm and history throughout.
