Excellent

I travelled with my son and we stayed for one night on the top floor. We had a wonderful stay. The views were absolutely beautiful, and the staff were very professional, welcoming and friendly.
The breakfast area was cosy and charming, and the breakfast itself was delicious. We especially loved the beautiful view from our window and the friendly alpacas nearby — my son really enjoyed feeding them in the morning.
There was convenient parking, the bed was very comfortable, and everything about our stay was lovely.
Thank you so much for your hospitality. We truly enjoyed our time here and would be very happy to return.

Our favourite B & B

We’ve now been twice, and will continue to visit for as long as they continue accepting guests!
Not much to add that hasn’t already been said, but would definitely recommend some of the walks/bike rides in the area, it really is a beautiful part of the world - ask Faith for recommendations and directions, she’s very knowledgeable and friendly, as is the whole team there.
Make sure to say hello to alpacas when you arrive, they’re lovely cheeky chappies!

Lake District 4 day stay

Fantastic 4 days at 1692 Walsdale. Great room - bed & superior bathroom. Great breakfast each day. Great staff - Faith was extremely helpful helping plan our days and evening restaurants. Other staff also so friendly and approachable. Would return without question.

Excellent. Really nicely done, spotlessly clean, wonderful breakfast.

Excellent. Really nicely done, spotlessly clean, wonderful breakfast with locally sourced produce and friendly, very helpful staff.
You will need to drive out for food in the evenings - the local village is about 1 mile away but it's down and then back up the hill. But the accommodation has a well stocked honesty bar thats very reasonably priced.

A true luxury bed and breakfast

We had a wonderful stay! There is absolutely nothing to complain about, everything was perfect. The room and bathroom were spacious (Tarn Suite), the breakfast was varied (large selection of freshly prepared dishes, fruit, muesli, juices, bread, jams, yogurt), and there is cake every afternoon.
Fresh milk for tea is provided upon request.
