Memorable, enjoyable and genuinely good value for money.

Stayed at the Garway Moon for one night to celebrate our son's wedding earlier in the day (Saturday 20th Dec). The accommodation, service and food were excellent, enhanced all the more by the locals who frequent The Moon. As other reviews show, it's a pub, it's popular, so weekend stays might not be for light sleepers, but don't let it put you off. Staff can't do enough for you, food was first class and the spotlessly clean 'apartment' we stayed in was just what we needed after a hectic enjoyable day. The locals who frequent the pub were some of the most welcoming I've met, and their celebrations were no more than anticipated in a pub with accommodation and it didn't spoil our stay in any way; quite the contrary, they enhanced it.
We (4) all had full breakfast and unanimously agreed it matched every other aspect of our stay. All the produce sourced locally and cooked to perfection. As much tea and coffee as you could wish for; a fitting end to a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The owner and the staff couldn't have done more to make us feel so welcome and valued. I would stay here again, and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Friendly staff and brilliant food

We were greeted by Danny when we arrived and he was very welcoming and friendly. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, great service. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic cost Inn

Lovely inn to stay over night, friendly and chatty staff, great food and drink, room was clean and spacious, bed was super comfy. Will happily stay again if in the area

Highly recommended

I really enjoyed my stay here on business for two nights in the Globe one-bedroom apartment. The location is idyllic opposite the village green and I felt like I had been transported back into time to a golden age! All the staff were very friendly and accommodating and the food was outstanding. The Herefordshire steak cooked medium rare was the best I have had in a very long time. I would highly recommend a stay here and I hope to return soon with my partner for a leisurely break.

Please do not stay here

we thought 5pm was too late for check-in so asked if could be earlier, I don't call 4.45pm helpful. when shown the room, we noticed that paint and rush were on all radiators, the TV was extremely small, on checking the bath, I thought there were debris so went to brush out only to find it was rough and would have been uncomfortable to sit in, was so disappointed with the description of being sold as superior room, didn't try the bed as was very cold. When asking to speak to management about the room, I was left waiting, when he came to talk to me, I found his manner to be aggressive, he said there was nothing wrong with the room, we had planned a forge day experience for our anniversary but after being spoken to in such a way, I really didn't want to stay in such an environment. I asked for my money back, he refused straight away, having been upset by all of this, we got in the car and drove the three and half hour drive home. On speaking to Booking.com who I made the reservation with, they told me I had to call the host to get my money back, even when I told them how distressing it was, then they called them only to be told I was now being accused of taking the room key so they would not give any money back, by wellbeing and now my character have been abused by Garway Moon Inn.
