Wedding anniversary

Stayed as a surprise for our wedding anniversary, staff very helpful. Needed to change rooms as requested a bathtub, this was no problem, room got upgraded immediately. Very pleasant dinner, relaxed atmosphere. Well cooked breakfast, poached eggs perfectly cooked.

Overpriced Burgers

Had 2 burgers yesterday
Very disappointed to be honest
Burgers were quite small and nothing special
Came with a few french fries on the plate
For £40 we expected something better.

No longer worth it.

Used to be pretty good. Sadly now pretty poor. Standard sunday lunch is still good but everything else (price, food quality and especially the service) well below par.

A lot of design flair has been put into The Kings Head interiors. Very comfortable. The choice of breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal we enjoyed there. The staff were very helpful as was their manager Tahir. The Kings Head is on the bus route into Winchester with a bus stop right outside. Very convenient for visiting the city. We were very impressed and would definitely stay again.

An absolute gem.

We were a party of four and happened upon The King's Head by chance.
And what a find that was.
Beautifully decorated bar/restaurant areas.
A great menu of really good food.
And really friendly and welcoming staff.
We had first class meals and deserts and was really impressed with the patience displayed when a party of 6 ladies elected to pay individually, arguing over who had what to eat and drink.
We would seek it out again when in that part of the world.
