Perfect!
I haven't written a review in years but this place needs some recognition. The hotel is gorgeous, with beautiful decor and so clean!
We were greeted by the owner who was very friendly and welcoming and showed us round the lounges, the honesty bar and the pantry. The pantry was a room full of complimentary breakfast items like cereals, yogurts, bread and drinks. The honesty bar prices were very reasonable and even had some pre-made cocktails. We had a few glasses of local cider which were gorgeous.
Our room was spotless, so clean! We were so pleased that we had a beautiful view of the mountains and a balcony to sit out on. I can't remember if I specifically booked a balcony room or if it was a bonus but it just made the stay for us. The location is perfect, overlooking hope park and just a 5 minute walk to the centre. Free Parking too! Good value, we paid £140. I think we'll just stay here every time we visit Keswick because there's no point looking for anything else.

Amazing stay in the heart of Keswick!
Just back from a beautiful stay in the Highfield, Keswick. Such a fantastic location - we arrived via train & bus and was within a 5 minute walk of the bus station, but they do have a car park on site. We were greeted with a warm welcome and were granted early access to our room upon arriving early which was fantastic. Our room looked onto the front facing view and wow, we were blown away with it! The room itself was spacious, bright and thoughtfully decorated with really nice modern yet traditional interior. The room was clean and fully equipped. The rest of the hotel had such a calm and tranquil atmosphere, a real country home feel which felt like a home away from home with lovely soft music playing throughout the day. There was a selection of breakfast foods available in the pantry each morning and a fully stocked honesty bar available at all times. A stone’s throw away from the hotel and we were in the centre of Keswick which made the hotel an excellent base and really easy to nip back to when we needed. Lots of lovely pubs, bars and restaurants nearby. We had an excellent night’s sleep each night with virtually zero disturbance or noise from any other guests or pedestrians; the surrounding area was peaceful and very civilised. I could not recommend The Highfield more to anyone looking to stay in Keswick - outstanding value for money and we really hope to return!

You have no idea how happy your review has made us, after what has been a very busy (and occasionally stressful ) few months completely refurbishing the hotel ready to open. It makes all the hard work and late nights worthwhile and is also a tribute to the vision of Josh and Amy, and.to the all the staff and trades who have gone above and beyond. Great experience in Keswick
We had a lovely two night stay at the Highfield. I had a chance to speak with the owner prior to booking and he was very responsive. He also returned my follow up questions. Our room was lovely: on the first floor overlooking the golf course and the scenery was lovely. The proximity to Keswick and all it has to offer made it easy to explore on foot. The car park in the back was included in the rate. The staff, especially Stella was very helpful. My wife and I would welcome staying there again.

Fabulous hotel in a great location
We had a fabulous stay. The hotel has only recently re-opened after being take over and refurbished. The decor is beautiful, really clean, elegant and timeless but still cosy. Our room was a good size and had a little surprise turret with a fantastic view over Hope Park.
The hotel is key-less and we got all the information we needed before our trip. We could access the room easily at check in time without the fuss of waiting at a Reception desk, which suited us.
There is a communal lounge area, with gorgeous views of Hope Park and the mountains beyond. There is a lovely garden with chairs that you can sit out and relax on, it's very peaceful!
The hotel says they don't provide breakfast, just a few pantry items, but actually they undersell that as there was fresh bread, several cereals, yoghurts, fruit, fresh orange juice and different types of teas and coffees - plenty to fill up on before a long walk.
There was a lovely honesty bar too.
The location was perfect, 2 minutes to town and loads of walks on your doorstep.
