Lovely place for a break

Had a lovely 3 night break here. Was put in a dog friendly room in the annexe at the back of the hotel which we found ideal as so much easier to take the dog out at night. Veggie breakfast was lovely and the staff friendly. Good choice of menu for evening meal, huge portions! great walks in the area. My only gripe was people letting their kids run all over the beer garden without any care for others, had a drink nearly knocked over on my table from one out of control brat. Will return again for sure.

Happy Staff, Great Hotel.

We stayed at the Coledale Inn for 3 nights with a "Boys" walking break. The staff were all super friendly, the food was excellent and the location perfect for access to the hills. The staff also seemed very happy in their various roles and it's a credit to the management to maintain such a great atmosphere. Well beyond the norm and commented on by several in our group. Well Done and Thankyou !

Bland.

Called in for an evening meal. Very busy. Great food choice. Portions were plentiful. My husband had fish and chips which he enjoyed. I’ll never understand how restaurants think that serving frozen chips is ok. I had sea bass fillets . Very bland. At £23 I’d have expected something better. No sauce, just a few king prawns.

A must

A super place, stayed 5 nights, breakfast was very good looks like severed locally 0800 to 0900, ( was told Royal Oak do not do breakfast!!).
Evening meal was as before excellent really enjoyed washed down with wine!
Will I be back YES
Would i recommend YES
One thing out with Coledale control, the rain, been going to braithwate about 20 years and this time RAIN! so all gone.

Great one night stay with food.

We booked a last minute overnight stay here on the bank holiday weekend and were not disappointed. The room was lovely, the whole hotel is super dog friendly which we loved and the food was 10/10. We ate lunch when we arrived out in the beautiful beer garden with a stunning view and enjoyed the included full English breakfast the following morning with a bonus sausage for our dog!
The value for money was exceptional and we will definitely return.
