Amazing!

We’ve just got back from a one night stay at The Alma Inn and it was amazing! I didn’t want to come home. We had the Sunday roast, which was one of the best I’ve ever had, and the chocolate fondant for dessert. The breakfast was also delicious which we enjoyed after an early morning walk through the countryside. Theres so many local routes to enjoy. It’s in a lovely rural location but close enough to the town if needed. We will definitely be back! Thank you to all the staff at the Alma

Stayed here a few times
Very cosy with beautiful views across the countryside
The bedrooms are clean and comfortable with good bathrooms and the food is great

Clean room, staff friendly, breakfast was expensive at £15 i thought especially as i only had a piece of toast and a Tea and an omelette, but value for money if you want a full cooked breakfast and cereals etc

We had a great stay at the Alma inn.
We stayed from Wednesday to Sunday during the Open at Royal Birkdale. This was the perfect place for us to commute to the Open, but also pull away from the crowds.
We thoroughly enjoyed the views of the landscape, the breakfast as well as the terrace for a drink and dinner in the lovely summer weather.
The the staff was great. They helped us out arranging breakfast earlier than normal, so we could get to the Open.
Can really recommend the place, also for exploring the lancashire area, go on golf trips or alike. 10 out of 10.

Nice old pub with helpful pleasant staff. However our evening meal was disappointing; we complained about the bruschetta which was just some large chunks of tasteless tomatoes on bread. Our room was ok but needed better cleaning (my wife had to dust the bedside tables). We also found the bed too hard - a mattress topper would be helpful. So overall not what we were expecting ☹️
