Heavenly Haven

Had a lovely stay at Haven House. Accommodation only and great value for what I paid £67 for a family room. Good location as it's a few minutes to the beach and 5/10mins walk to town. Marie was very friendly and we had a nice welcome. Our room had one single bed and one double bed. Sink in room as well as small fridge and tea/coffee facilities. Bed was comfortable and clean and we had the use of 2 x bathrooms. One with a bath and toilet and the other with a shower and toilet. Will definitely be back and even my mum had a great nights sleep. HIghly recommended.

Wonderful slice of Largs

Wonderful place Marie the owner is extremely helpful and Pleasan. The house keeping team are superb working around my night shifts etc…. As a single female I felt very safe and comfortable. Can’t recommend it enough!

Like sleeping in a Charity Shop

The general state of the house is it needs a total overhaul it looks like it was furnished from a charity shop and needs total decoration . The accommodation is on the first floor and in the attic so if you have trouble with stairs and mobility (like my mum who has Parkinson’s) then you’ll struggle as the stairs are very steep and twist as you get to the top making it narrow and steep. The rooms are in need of total renovation decor furniture carpets all look like they are from 1980s , so did the bed linen if I’m honest! There are 2 bathrooms on the first landing both are in need of modernisation (I actually didn’t use the shower and waited til I got home) one of our party used it and it wasn’t good , took 5 mins of messing with controls to get it to some kind of useable temperature . I hate to be absolutely negative so here’s the positives ….
There is a small bar fridge in each room which was very handy, it wasn’t expensive (thankfully) and Largs is a nice place .
All in all I wouldn’t stay there again unless it had a complete refit .

Do Not Stay Here

The beds were rock hard and the bed linen looked about 20 years old the shower was not clean and the water ran cold the decor was beyond dated it looked like a 70s throwback the towels were very old and like cardboard al in all I would not stay here and there was no value for money have stayed in much better accom for the same if not cheaper . I would have left 0 stars on my review if that was an option .

Comfortable B n B with a Friendly Touch

I stayed for four nights and had a room on the first floor. The whole B n B is kept very clean , including the two bathrooms, and is pleasantly decorated. Marie is a friendly host and I was made to feel very welcome. Despite the high outside temperature, the room managed to stay at a comfortable temperature which allowed a good night's sleep. There is ample street parking. The B n B is a short walk to the promenade/harbour and cafes/restaurants which enabled me to park the car and leave it for the week. I will make a return visit to Haven House in the future.
