Hotel and grounds well maintained and stunning location.
Accomodation well appointed and maintained. Clean, private and everything needed for our stay. Garden secluded and safe for kids and pets.

OUTRAGEOUS ENERGY BILL CIRCA £600 PER MONTH
Had a lovely week , staying in the Pines . As with many other reviews , the estate was lovely , reception staff friendly and helpful , restaurant very good .
The bombshell was being given an energy bill for £291 upon departure . Nobody told us to take our meter reading upon arrival , either via the pre arrival email or verbally at reception . This flaw has been admitted subsequently by the Maintenance Manager , Robert Galloway . Upon querying the bill , Robert immediately realised there was a likely error , so asked us to pay £150 instead , whilst he investigated . The outcome was that there was an issue with the thermostat , which has since been corrected . Shockingly , we have since been advised that by asking us to pay "only" £150 for a weeks energy , he was in fact doing us a favour . So unless you are used to a monthly energy bill of the equivalent of over £600 per month , prepare for a big shock when you come to leave . Ensure that you take your meter reading , otherwise you will have to accept the reading that they claim , without any recourse whatsoever .
In future , any mention of Kilconquhar will only remind us of the outrageous energy bill and not the time that we enjoyed during our stay . Disappointed doesnt even come close .

Nice stay
Last minute booking for BB I. One of the castle bedrooms. A little dated but clean and tidy and next to the main restaurant where we both enjoyed an excellent evening meal and z first class cooked breakfast. Used the pool facilities which were good. Staff in all areas were welcoming and friendly. Would certainly not hesitate to use again if in area. Less than 2 miles to Elie beach.

Fantastic trip!
What an amazing family vacation spot! The estate itself was beautiful. The rooms, restaurants, and staff were fantastic. It is a great location to vacation locally, but we used it as a home base to travel all around Scotland which was perfect. I hope we can return, and I highly recommend this for any Scotland vacation!

Nice and chilled few days
My partner and me enjoyed our stay here at the castle our second time visiting. the reception staff where all lovely and chatty the food was good and nice bar staff our accommodation was good but a little more extra attention on cleanliness. very dusty behind tv and bedside table. their was marks at the bottom of the tiles in the bathroom and around the toilet bowl. Microwave inside at the top wasn’t cleaned right. Finger marks on bottom of patio door. this didn’t spoil our visit but Management need to have a better look out. Apart from that everyone and everything was great! back in the summer again.
