Last minute find for a trip to longleat. Spacious family room, however, the outside park was out of use, which was disappointing as this is what attracted us to the hotel. We also asked for a replacement duvet as our potty training toddler had an accident. We were assured they would replace it, but this didnt happen unfortunately. We ended up all sharing a bed.
Food was nice, but quite expensive for what it was. Plenty of amenities within the room. Smart TV was ideal for our little boy. A reasonable & fair place to stay.

We were feeling let down by having arrived to no cot in the room arriving later than planned and no option available even after reminders while calling to say we'd be running late.
The cleanliness of the room was poor with bathroom bin not having been emptied from previous guests and coffee machine and a couple of other items covered in dust. The fridge was not on and had spilt milk inside of it so the complimentary milk on arrival so we could have a cuppa in our room soon went warm.
The people who looked after us were very apologetic and the welcome and effort to rectify the situation were great. The breakfast was delightful with a very good offering.
The room was lovely bed was comfortable and bathroom was nice apart from the toilet seat having been fitted so badly.
All in all, if that way again I would give this place another go and hope to find the issues have been dealt with as the people were so lovely to deal with.

Good food but mostly bad attitude.

We booked an evening meal. On arrival we were shown to our table. Soon after a lovely English/American girl took our order. We’d driven from Warrington in Cheshire so were tired and hungry. The server was lovely, genuinely smiley and answered all our questions. My granddaughter is a vegetarian so we asked about the gravy with her meal. Our drinks arrived soon but the food didn’t. It took well over an hour. There were no apologies about the delay and no explanation. No complaints at all about the food but there was a Yorkshire pudding missing when the meals eventually arrived. We mentioned this to the young woman who brought the meal and she soon came back with it, I asked whether the gravy was veggie. She said it was. We thanked her but she was really quite surly with us, no smile, no apology. Another young woman staff member and I arrived at a door from opposite directions, I stopped and let her through, no eye contact, no thank you as if I wasn’t there. As I say the food was very good and the one waitress was excellent but most of the staff really didn’t appear to be good with customers which was a shame.

Dear nickrH4200NS
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
We're delighted to hear you enjoyed your meal and that one of our team members made such a positive impression with her friendly and attentive service. We'll be sure to pass your kind comments on.
We're sorry to hear about the delay in serving your food and appreciate your patience. We also regret that some of your interactions with other team members left you feeling disappointed. While we're sorry if these came across as unfriendly, we hope they may simply have been misunderstood rather than a reflection of our team's intentions.
Nevertheless, we take your comments seriously and will share them with the team as a reminder of the importance of every guest interaction.
We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back again soon.

Never again

Dreadful lunch and very expensive for what we had in our plates. Also the chef should find another job. Not difficult to find recipes.
The Caesar salad had 3 missing ingredients and the croutons were cooked in oil used to cook fried fish.

Disappointed

Started off well, we're greeted at the bar and seated, given menus but not advised how to order. Eventually came and took order and apologised as bar had got busy. Food was not as per description on the menu. Literally a bowl of leaves with a couple of bits of dried shredded duck on, no dressing, very dry - not worth the cost. In hindsight should have raised it, but no one came to check in with us during food or to clear plates (we were in area up steps to right of bar as you look at the bar, and the only people in there) Clearly they forgot about us, so eventually went to ask for dessert menu and asked how to order and they asked us to order at the bar, which was fine. Dessert was ok, but had Lattes with them, which were cold.
They add a 10% service charge, which you can ask to be removed, but that is awkward when stood at a bar surrounded by others.
A real shame, we have been going there for a few years and under the old management you always saw him there leading the team, checking in, but now left to your own devices and no apparent leadership at all on the ground. Gradually declined since old manager and sadly we think time to find somewhere else. Real shame as some simple changes could make it good again.

Dear jessicaaA5859YK
Thank you for your feedback and for being a returning guest. We're sorry to hear that this visit didn't live up to your previous experiences.
We apologise for the lack of communication regarding ordering, the delays in service, and that your meal and drinks did not meet your expectations. We also regret that no one checked back with you during your meal, as this is not the level of service we aim to provide.
While it's not an excuse, your visit coincided with our busiest event of the year, which placed exceptional demands on the team. That said, we fully appreciate that this should not have impacted your experience in the way it did.
Your comments have been shared with both our front-of-house and kitchen teams, and we truly value your feedback as it helps us improve. We appreciate your support over the years and hope you'll consider giving us another opportunity to provide the experience you remember so fondly.
