We stayed 3 nights. The staff were extremely helpful. Our booked room was in annexe beside kitchen conditioning units with jet engine noise levels. Obviously unacceptable. We were given alternative accommodation which was particularly pleasant and quiet. This may not always be available, so anyone booking needs to check if they expect a quiet night. Very good breakfast

Excellent location for visiting Ludlow. Near shops, pubs and the castle. Welcoming friendly staff. Good breakfast though would have appreciated some fresh fruit on offer. Had dinner one night in the restaurant- food and service good.
Room clean, beds comfortable. Our room had a balcony which was good except at night as opening the sliding door was the only way to get any fresh air into the room therefore making it extremely hot. Didn’t feel we could leave the door ajar as there was a staircase next to us leading into the carpark therefore felt it was a security risk.
Overall though a good stay, would recommend, but don’t choose a room with a balcony!

Lovely Ludlow but a noisy stay.

Just returned from a two night Anniversary trip to The Feathers. Arrived and checked in fine and managed to get a space in the very tight car park. All staff were very friendly and service was good.
Room was nice but a bit dated and small. Alison had made us some lovely towel swans for our Anniversary and we got free drinks vouchers which was a nice touch.
Ludlow is very nice and the trip overall was good, the only things letting the stay down was the noise from The Bull Hotel opposite, drunken folks screaming and shouting on both nights and the limited continental breakfast options, but cooked breakfast options were excellent.
Not a cheap hotel to stay in, so would probably not go back.

Friendly - to humans and dogs!

Friendly staff, v dog friendly, historic building and central location. They do a good job of managing an old building, found housekeeping to be a good standard. Breakfast good, for evening I’d avoid the main dining room and just eat in the lounge. Would recommend though for the friendly welcoming staff.

Charming Ludlow

I stayed at the feathers hotel in July for 4 nights with another family member in a twin room, the room was a decent size with a small table and 2 chairs, kettle, hairdryer, safe, iron. The bathroom had a large walk in shower and was given an anti slip mat when requested.
The breakfast was OK, usual cooked items although I prefer the continental, nice to have some cheese and ham as well as cereals and fruit. There were croissants but some days they were great and others a bit rubbery and once wet underneath, I think they were left from the day before and not stored properly?
The hotel is very historic and quirky with slanted corridors and beams which I loved.
Ludlow itself is charming and a very nice place to visit, the tourist information centre do a guided walk around the town for £5 cash in the afternoon which is really interesting.
Cons – no air con and our room was soooo hot.
