I booked one night here on a Sunday, it didn't impress me, the room was for myself and a dog, it was absolutely unbearable with heat. It wasn't a particularly hot day but the windows had sun all day, the dog struggled all through the night as did I, no fans in the room. The receptionist on arrival was pretty vague all round. The noise from upstairs walking around was awful as was the dogs barking, I personally won't be staying there again. No asking if everything was okay upon leaving, nothing at all. All in all a very odd atmosphere at this place. It's more of a B and B not a hotel for £180 per night! I thought Cornwall relied upon tourism (although mine was more of a working stop) you'd think you'd be welcome, apparently not! Even a cheerful hello and goodbye would have been sufficient!

Absolutely fabulous hotel

Absolutely fabulous Just stayed 3 nights and loved everything about it Excellent friendly & caring staff Room spacious comfortable & spotless Breakfast was brilliant and the evening meals outstanding (choice, flavours, presentation- this chef knows his stuff) Really can't fault it & the sea view from our room and the dining room was the icing on the cake An absolute gem!

Stayed here whilst visiting family in the Maenporth region. Friendly staff, the communcal areas were in great condition with specific decorations for the Easter weekend. The room was very comfortable with dual aspect windows in our room.
Breakfast each day was very good quality with a wide selection of options available, including hot cross buns (as it was Easter) and the staff again catering to bespoke requests.
Only areas I would suggest to improve are the slow wifi speed (perhaps look into a Starlink connection for the hotel) and the low water pessure in the shower.

Lovely small hotel. Perfect setting. Sea view from our room and dining room. Staff friendly and efficient. A perfect base for our short stay in this beautiful part of the country.
