Really lovely place to stay, centrally located and easy to walk to from the car park (sub 5mins). Staff were great, room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was excellent

Oh dear!

Staff friendly, but more interested in socialising with each other.
Breakfast poor and found a hair !
Would never stay there again to be honest.

Friendly and atmospheric

Stayed after trip to Brighton races, major improvement from last stay around Covid time.
Mein host and staff very friendly, bar area and rooms good, very atmospheric.

Attentive service

All windows open on the July evening when we visited. Thank goodness as it was very warm.
We received very attentive service and the meal arrived promptly. The Swan has some menu choices which use a focaccia base; the burrata & tomato and meatball ones were tasty. Interesting side dish of fennel slaw - to be created at home. Two mains, two sides, and two glasses of Pinot Grigio Blush came to £63.60.

Exactly what was needed...a good, comfortable hotel with decent breakfast in a convenient location.
