Perfection at it's finest

I had the pleasure of staying at The Exmoor Forest Inn for a week while working in the area, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, friendly and incredibly attentive. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their genuine care and hospitality really made the stay special.
The rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable and full of old-world character, making it a lovely place to relax after a busy day. The food was also excellent, with a very good menu, beautifully prepared dishes and, importantly, exceptional value for money.
It’s rare to find somewhere that gets everything right, but The Exmoor Forest Inn certainly does. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming and characterful place to stay in Exmoor. I’ll definitely be back!

Expected a bit more in Exmoor

Lovely welcome and very friendly staff. Food was was ok but not as good as we thought it would be. Fish and chips was mediocre, crab sandwich needed more crab, loaded fries got a thumbs up and the ploughman’s could have done with a variety of cheese rather just one type.

Disappointed

Such s lovely location and very nicely decorated, it’s modern but not lost it’s rural charm.
However the cod and chips which wasn’t cheap £20, was not good, the batter was thick and doughy snd soggy.
It is a small menu so disappointing that they couldn’t get this right.
The service at the bar was not friendly or helpful, gelt like a nuisance asking for any variation to their small set menu.
Such a shame.

Delicious food and hospitality

We found Exmoor Forest Inn by chance and decided to see if we could eat supper there. Beautiful interior, I asked if we could have a table for two and the waiter Kucci told me it was fully booked. My friend then asked if we could just have a soup or something quick from the kitchen. He then said that he could fit us in and gave us a menu. So accommodating and going out of his way to fit us in. We chose from the menu and the food was delicious. We had a delicious vegetarian option with divine ice cream and homemade waffle to finish off.
Wonderful service, would definitely recommend a visit. Maybe booking is advised if you wish to eat there.

Perfection on Exmoor!!

What an amazing place, stunning location on the beautiful Exmoor, so stylishly decorated with such lovely staff. We had food from the general menu as well as Sunday lunch, simply can’t fault anything, perfect. The staff in particular were so lovely, caring and informative, Kuchi who’s front of house, such a lovely person, thank you!!
