A Perfectly Pleasant Plas

A delightful Plas, I stayed in room 6 which was a great surprise. Given the weather, a heatwave, the staff had fans on and windows open! The room featured a large bedroom with extensive wardrobe space, a separate room with another television, radio, sofas, table and 4 chairs, a well kept bathroom and access to a private outdoor seating area high up in the roof space with distant hillside views over the town. Breakfast was delicious, I had fruit juice, Greek yogurt with honey, coffee and smoked salmon and poached egg on sourdough. A great start to my day!

Lovely, small hotel in a great location. Bed was really comfortable, breakfast was amazing. Would definitely stay there again.

Disappointing stay

I arrived to a surley welcome at reception by a receptionist who is in the wrong job, she didn't say hello or smile and just said checking in ?
My room was adequate but the bed not very comfy and I didn't sleep well.
I went down for diner and was left waiting for ages, they are only serving a very basic residents menu and the food is definitely not homemade and resembled wetherspoons quality but certainly not wetherspoons prices!
Breakfast was equally poor with no breakfast buffet, just a small menu, the breakfast was poor, not sure what happened to my poached eggs they looked like they had dissolved. If i was the chef I wouldn't have let the dish leave the kitchen as it was not attractive and it was also very bland.
Seems like the staff don't want to be there, i was there while working in the area so it sufficed but had i been there on holiday i would have been extremely disappointed as I was not made to feel welcome and will not be returning.
Real shame as i have stayed in the past and it was fantastic, i am led to believe it has changed hands recently.
At no point in my stay and even on check out was I asked if everything was OK and if i had enjoyed my stay.
Real shame as it is a lovely old building and should be lovely.

The room a bit small with no view, but included everything that was needed and very clean, staff were helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Plenty of free parking spaces.

Super couple of days

Very warm welcome on arrival and throughout our stay. Very attentive to the needs of my elderly mother and made her feel special. All staff were lovely and chatty.
Clean and fresh room.
Superb breakfast on each day, freshly cooked to order and so well presented.
Will definitely visit again.
