The location was amazing, could not fault the hotel.
Is does what it says on the tin.

A roof over our heads.

It was a roof over our heads for a couple of nights. Lovely situated accomodation leafy and pretty.
Accomodation itself in dire need of work, musty smell when entering reception and continued throughout the hotel,l. Room dated, holes in the net curtains, carpets well warn, obvious large cobwebs on the ceiling in the corners.
It could be a beautiful intimate hotel/venue but well passed its sell by date, a lot of money/work/styling required to bring it up to just a reasonable standard.
It's a shame, could be a lovely hotel.

The shining

Wow. If you want to experience ' the shining' this is the place for you.
No reception or staff. Call a number and 'Igor' comes and gives you a key and tells you how to let yourself in. I was the only visitor this night so had the whole hotel to myself. No food. No bar. Rooms from the 1950s with a kettle larger than the tv. Didn't stay and drove 2hrs home instead. Looks nice from the outside....until you open the door

Absolutely dire

Absolute nightmare of a hotel. How they can advertise this as a Country Hotel is quite beyond me. The only country thing about it is the spiders in the bedroom and the dead moths in the light fittings. It smelt of damp, and it was damp. Walls were paper thin. Dated rooms, no bar, no staff... like the "haunting" but worse. Don't get me started on the lack of hot water. .... good luck if you stay.

Good Hotel.

Nice Hotel. A little dated, but clean and tidy. Lady on reception very helpful. No complaints from me. Lovely grounds in the Cheshire countryside.
