Lowlights
The sofa bed which was provided was harder than rock and impossible to sleep on. The manager checked - it isn’t defective in anyway so he’s happy. That doesn’t mean you can sleep on it.
The carpet had stains and there was other customers dna still in the bathroom- you need to point these things out though as they don’t notice themselves and therefore you may find things you don’t expect in a boutique hotel too when you get there
A suite becomes a hostel when you add 4 persons and a sofa bed is wedged in. You can’t reach the table with water on it unless you climb across the sofa bed and it’s impractical.
It’s an expensive uncomfortable stay in a suite for a family of 4 - only the toiletries are gratis and the toilet paper is terribly cheap.
Need to know
If you’re booking through a provider
* The invoice price stating the price you’d booked for and states payment for all 4 guests isn’t true. It may be payment for 4 guests to be present in the hotel but you need to pay extra for enough beds to sleep on which we didn’t find out until we got there
* You don’t get the notifications the hotel sends you. Harts manager believes that’s ok though because an automated email was sent out by Harts that’s adequate - even if no one received it
* There is no air con only a desk fan and windows, that understandably don’t open fully, but in the heat of our summer this year made it impossible to sleep
* Parking is extra if you can get a space
* Full Breakfast whether adult or child £17 - excessive to me so can’t comment on quality
The cost of the sofa bed was taken off when I shared that it was too hard for our cat to sleep on. I was never aware of cost and never agreed to pay for it in my terms anyway . Emailed the manager re my concerns he’s offered me 15% off a future stay he’s not to worry we won’t be back
